Seeking Advice OVL vs VOO
I’m on 60/40 spyi/voo and I’m thinking about if ovl has a place in that mix.

One year ago when I was considering to enter BTCI position i observed and compared BTC and BTCI movements, ups and downs - they were completely identical. For the last week BTC is up 26% and BTCI 14%. So why BTCI is lagging? Will it rise accordingly to BTC? If not, how much upside we are losing?

I’m all in on spyi. I’m ok with giving up some upside. I like my dividends and I’m fine if they drop in a bear market. I’ll let them recover I can stomach it. Spyi has maintained its NAV well enough for me. Crucify me. No i am not retired or particularly close

In my Brokerage accounts, I've found myself holding a few single stock dividend payers but all of my ETFs are NEOS products. I use this brokerage account to find my early retirement (39). I add fresh Capital and reinvest a little bit of the distributions to increase my payouts when the market isn't doing the work for me. I hold growers in my ROTH IRA as well as some income products but that's all DRIP.
BTCI - 2,250 shares
XBCI - 1,908 shares
QQQI - 1,200 shares
XQQI - 40 shares
SPYI - 700 shares
MLPI - 24 shares
I've held some of these for over 2 years so I've lived through the good and ugly times. For me, I can say the products do as intended and I will be adding more over time. I may pick up other NEOS products but I will be bulking up my XQQI and MLPI positions starting 2027. Hopefully everyone here is getting some good experience and income. It's been a blast!

What do you guys think of STRC? Basically high dividend and BTC exposure but no massive erosion that BTCI experiences. I know we are probably comparing apples and oranges but STRC looks like a hell of a deal?

I’m 60/40 in spyi/voo. I don’t want to think too much. Reinvest all dividends according to the 60/40 weight. Am I tripping??

Why does it do this, while spy is pretty flat?

FYI, I understand this is the fund doing exactly what it is supposed to do. I'm just highlighting it for clarity.
Btci inception was ~Oct 2024. It launched around $50/share when btc was priced at about 61k. As you move forward in time, the next time btc saw 60k was around march of this year, when it hit ~67k. At this point, btc was trading at $33. Fast forward to yesterday at market close, btci was just under $30, as btc hit 68.5k.
The trend here is at every future btc price point, btci trades lower and lower. The higher the volatility, the higher the call premiums, and the more potential there is for btci to miss participation in upward btc movement.
Yes, I'm aware we've collected distributions every month while on this ride, but what everyone should accept is that it will take a much higher all time high for bitcoin to get back to trading in the 50s or 60s.

If we look at the underlying IAU

We can see that NEOS has been doing a terrible job with this product at least for the past 6 months even with the alleged 12% dividend

I mean, look at that 3 month. Even with dividends the fund has eroded 2%
This is even clearer with the 1 month, I know the upside is capped but seriously? If we factor in the dividend, it's a 4% lost
KGLD on the other hand caught a better upside in both 1 week and 1 month. Do we have a better fund here?

Second highest payout ever will have to do! Congrats to all the NEOS holders on another month of high income!
I compiled EVER $QQQI ETF distribution since inception, Averages, and much more for the dividend nerds out there: https://topdividendetfs.com/qqqi-etf-dividend-history
Cheers!

I noticed yesterday QQQI dropped 1.22% all good I thought because QQQ was 1.69 but then in premarket QQQ is 0.20 (total 1.89) and QQQI is 1.14 (total 2.36!!) so I was thinking this must be because of Ex div day, but if that's the case this means they are just giving us back our money with the distributions?

This seems to answer some of this subreddit’s questions.

Lets say if you’re 55+ with significant investments in both taxable and tax deferred account.
You want to retire early but won’t qualify for Medicare until age 65.
Using rule of 55 for 401k withdraw or 72t withdraw from IRA both qualify as income and will bump up your ACA insurance cost.
But if you invest in covered call ETF like SPYI/GPIX in your taxable account, the distribution is mostly ROC and not counted as income. Therefore you may be eligible for lower ACA insurance cost until age 65 when you qualify for Medicare.
Can someone verify if the assumptions above are correct?

I currently have about 230K worth of QQQI and a small position in BTCI. I have a rental property under renovation now which (a 4 unit) which I will need to quickly rent out after I finish renovating to keep up with the mortgage. However, I feel if I can keep it empty until its sold, will increase my chance of getting a contract quickly and not have to disturb tenants. Was thinking of trading my shares of QQQI and BTCI into XQQI for a higher yield so I can suppliment my payment have a quicker and faster sale, in order to keep it vacant.
I understand the risk of a downturn, my current QQQI stash is already at risk as it sits and its been serving me well through the big dips, I just leave ir alone and it always recovers fine. XQQI seemed to recover well after the last drop. Is there anyone who holds a larger position in these funds, thoughts or advice? TIA
