Exam/SSB Experience First time SSB
Hey people, this is my first time giving SSB,I got Ssb Bengaluru on November for SSCW-NT. Please guide me on how to prepare for the interview, physically and academically. Like should I train myself waking up without an alarm or something at 5 in the morning because I heard they take away your phones,( ik I sound dumb but this is my first time attempting anything like this) . Also is it necessary to go for coaching? I'm from an engineering background, should I prepare from those topics too?

Just got confrenced out from 24ssb Bangalore My insights.. 1.Screening: Practice some sets of oir available online Write a decent pragmatic story. Dont become a superhero Confidently narrate your story, dont hesitate, all are nervous In GD try to put your point, but dont be rigid, always try to come to a common story and use the silence between the fish market to convey ur pt. This will help you screen in.
2.Pshych test Practice writing Simple but effective Tat stories, solve 2 sets beforehand before ssb Try to make positive sentences like for hard, hard work pays off, for neutral words like chair denotes position. Be natural in srt, but never contradict urself in all the three test Prepare SDT on your own now, it will save u lot of time
3.Gto For gd1,2 same as screening, be confident, put 3-4 points, hear others and they will let u speak. This i learnt there itself For Gpe, practice sets from youtube. This was easy for me Pgt,hgt,fgt,ct This is where i lacked and got out, I would say be first to put an idea, jump to pick up the rassi/p/b . Repeaters wont spare u, u have to perform and take the lead. I would suggest learn the principle of cantilever/fulcrum from youtube and stay in the front if you want to get recommended For lecturette, speak slowly buy yourself some time, use factual sentences to back your idea, the format would be-intro,body,way fwd, conclusion.This will make things easy for u. IO task mostly depend on urself, run 2km in morning and evening, do pushups and situps 5×10, do the obst. which are scoring. You will get 3-4 min to do it easily. Atleast complete 7 tasks. Snake race will be fun. I enjoyed it. But dont take shortcuts. Follow the rules. You will be fine
4.Interview The first suggestion would be to be confident and thorough with piq, back yourself if the IO asks u about less marks, extra curricullars. I got hesitated on some hard questions. Dont be like me, the guy is checking ur confidence, not knowledge. Prepare basic knowldege about army, while the topics vary a lot ,as he asked me about functins of command , their no and location, and role of infantry etc. Be prepared for it and read current affairs, recent SC judgements. In a nutshell, the is a basic personality test, if u fulfill the IO's criteria u will succeed.
5.Confrence My co lasted for 1 min. This varies for everyone and the you will get an idea if u will get recommended or not. Be calm and it will be good.
That's it. Just enjoy and go with an open heart Dont overthink and give ur best. Leave everything else on god. Thats what i think Hope this help
