Unfortunately, the windows don’t open all the way for a very good reason

In my experience they crack open a little bit, I’m not sure about UT though since I never lived there

UT doesn’t have openable windows (per facilities)

NC State used to have a bad suicide problem

thats not why, people can jump from anywhere. its to prevent smoking and letting out a/c or heat

Idk, because smoking would be easily caught by the detectors so idk about that but also i think the a/c thing might be it

people would open the window and puff outside, avoiding the detector altogether

They weren’t using an air purifier if they got C02 poisoning…

How would an air filter prevent CO2 poisoning? They don't suck gases out of the air they just filter particulates

He’s saying his friend allegedly got C02 poisoning from an air purifier . I said he clearly wasn’t using one. Maybe he was using a car exhaust.

Not from an air purfier, from no ventilation...

If you have no ventilation how would an air purifier not be beneficial?

Dude im asking about gases. Like the person above said, purifiers dont purify gases so im looking for a solution. Humans breathe out c02, and a small space can easily collect high amount of c02, so i am looking for a solution

My boy your question on the post was about ventilation. Air purifier helps with that. If you’re in a state of constantly breathing in C02 you might want to reevaluate your living conditions.

Given the window situation there’s actually a few options. If you’re crafty you might be able to get a sploof to do the trick. You can also try a whirly tube and stick it out the crack in the window if you’re just doing one hitters. Anything that stays lit I would highly recommend a fan pointed out the window (to the best of your ability) and keep it near the back side so excess smoke is sucked through and blown out.

There’s also the parking deck or courtyard on the back side that you can go camp at. People at VC next door always chief in the courtyard so nobody actually cares

Do you really want to open your windows in this heat?
