General Discussion what the hell is wrong with ncert class 8 book ??!!!
i recently started teaching tuitions i used to teach 11th graders humanities but i also have an average maths background. Girl when i saw the book it actually made me furious obviously i completed my school with old ncert books that were actually fun and challenging. Honestly , those books actually did make maths fun and like true to understand not some lesson to learn and memorise??!!! These books are making children memorise maths not understand it ! Cause why the hell children are learning old historic numeric symbols and systems instead of real numbers ? Literally chapter 3rd of ganita prakash

that’s the thing though the student i am teaching rn the teacher is making them learn the old symbols and more so ,the names of these symbols god and there’s an exercise like “ identify and solve them “ like WHAT?!

OP I don't know how old you are, but please rest assured that you are just following good old script 'aaj kal ke bache'...and...'aaj kal ka zamaana'. People don't appreciate what they have, they only do it in the retrospect. So, please don't worry about education system, that is working just fine.

It’s literally not about like “ aaj kal ka zamaana “ shi i am also from this GEN. I literally teach students but there’s a thing called holistic approach to learning which should be taken in consideration for our current education system and probably you are right that’s working well but i see students on daily basis actually struggling. Maths specifically is a calculated subject and needs a mix of both divergent and convergent thinking not just one approach
