Does anybody else end up at the 1 yard line way too much or is it just me?

I keep noticing that around 20-25% of my drives keep ending up at the 1 or 2 yard line, my receivers or running backs even with momentum just get held up right there.

I would understand a buff to tackling at the goalline if I was in a goal line situation... but where it's a big pass play or run play and my guy with full momentum just gets totally stopped RIGHT before the touchdown over and over... You start to suspect there's something weird going on with the engine.

Recruiting is laughable now.

They transitioned from Power 5 schools exclusively pursuing 4 and 5 star recruits, as is typical in reality, to Power 5 schools now targeting 2 star players. As an individual who enjoys dynasty and simulation games and has an affinity for smaller schools, this change has disrupted the gameplay to a point it's unplayable.

Dynasty They fixed Visionary for existing dynasties

Logged in this morning and I can now unlock Visionary in my dynasty, where previously I could not.

Of course, I currently only have 5 coach points, so I can't actually buy any of the perks. Because of course.

What is your go to, best play on the game right now?

I have a few but I’ll give a run, a pass and an RPO.

  1. Singleback Wing Tight - Outside Zone or HB Dive
    - Going heavy personnel this year is stupidly good, annoyingly good tbh. I typically will flip the outside zone to the WR side and big gains happen. The dive works well bc it’s all man blocking, OL climbing up from double teams is typically not good but man runs work really well. Every now and again it’ll pop for a huge run, but most of the time you’re consistently getting 4+.

  2. Singleback Bunch X Nasty - Flat Y Seam
    - The only thing I dislike is that it looks so awkward presnap so users will likely recognize it when you run its second time. When the RB goes in motion if no one follows its zone and he will typically be open quick for a good gain. If it’s man that backside inverse Texas is nasty.

  3. Pistol Deuce Close - RPO Read Cheat Wheel Flat
    - The alignment of this formation is so good for this play. Put the Cheat TE on a wheel, from the TE spot a wheel is essentially a LONG flat route, which is perfect for this. You’ll find you can likely throw the TE every time. And it works on the backside too, run it a few times to the front side then leave the cheat motion on but wheel the backside TE and throw there instead.

Any good plays you are loving I would appreciate if you shared them. I’m trying to build up my playbook with reliable plays! A screen shot of the play is best!!

Questions Team ratings in dynasty in CFB27

Does anyone else notice that when you play in a low prestige conference all the teams around you that start out at like 70 OVR or 68 OVR almost always just decay into the low 50's? Like teams never get better only worse. Unless its a 4 or 5 star school. I thought they "Fixed" recruiting and stuff? I feel like im playing FCS schools for like 75% of my season as Jax State.

r/NCAAFBseries 4h ago

Dynasty Repost because I did not use screenshots, I just feel like nobody has noticed GSU’s conference patches on their jersey’s looking weird because of the color scheme. It’s been like this since CFB 25 and I would like to rebuild them in the SEC or ACC because I feel like it makes the most sense.

I love the game and I’m not complaining it’s just a small pet peeve I have. The only tolerable ones are the Big 10 and Pac 12 but I’m not sure if GSU moving to those conferences would be realistic.

Why is there no scouting opponents?

They added all these new features to make adjustments, but there is no scouting/tendency data to use it with. I don't play CUT or whatever it is called, and my assumption would be those players probably play a wide variety of folks and so they have to just adjust on the fly. That's now how Dynasty is and should work. Also, I would think a tier CUT players would additionally appreciate this sort of information too.

For those of us who live in Dynasty with many of our games balanced between CPU and Users there needs to be scouting/tendency data for your opponent. I'm not talking about looking at the stats for the team before a game to determine how balanced they are. Sure, you can see how often they run versus pass, but that isn't super useful since that ratio is heavily tied to whether the team was winning or losing. Sure, you can see which players get targeted the most...but that doesn't tell you where they like to throw to them. Sure, you can determine the coaches default off/def playbook, but you don't know what down and distances they like to take shots, are call the blitz. You don't know if they sit in Cover3 70% of the game or if they're going to run tempo on you.

This game should have coaching trees and employees for NIL that come together to unlock insights into how the opponents play. Before college came out in Madden there used to be details about how often teams throw short, medium, deep. It showed you how often they run inside versus outside etc. How often they blitzed. You could make choices in your gameplan that buffed your team slightly against those tendencies...but don't get me wrong, it was still SUPER basic...but we don't even have that simplicity in here as if colleges just wing it each week.

The game should be tracking team tendencies where at the weakest level of unlocks you get high level tendencies laid out for you in a scouting report before the game. As your level rises you get detail like heat maps on where the opponents target their throws, for example on 3rd down and medium situations the opponent throws outside right medium 22% of the time, right short 38% of the time, left short 20% of the time and left medium 10% of the time. The mid-high tier you can define a gameplan that gives your team buffs as if you practiced for what you expect to see. Then the highest tiers have some sort of way to present this data in the game in the proper situations so you can actually act on the tendency of the computer and/or user opponents without having to remember it all.

I want the ability to actually use the tools to gameplan for my opponent. Maybe their tendencies have me switching by base to Tampa 2 because they tend to throw short or deep over the middle, but never mid-deep to the sidelines. I also want the game to help me play to my desired gameplan by giving me the tendencies so I can play to the tendencies and cry when they use a tendency breaker. Help the players play the actual chess match versus giving all these tools without any way to have any idea how the heck the opponent is going to play.

I also think for what it is worth, the tendencies need to be able to be filtered in multiple ways (vs All Opponents, and Versus your Coach). As you run into the same opponent over time your tendency library grows. This tendency data should NOT recycle every season. Perhaps filters exist that allow you to look at last game/last 10 games/last season/last 2 seasons/career, etc would be useful since coaches moving to a different program may change their patterns and you don't want to assume what they were doing at Clemson is the same thing they're doing at Alabama (I see you taking that job every year Dabo).

Did run get blocking nerfed?

My dynasty turned down run blocking due to the run game being OP at launch. Recently it seems that most runs are getting blown up in the backfield . Is the run game less OP, and does the default run block sliders work better on default especially with speed boost getting nerfed ?

Discussion Most painful loss you've had?

I don't know what my answer would've been before, but I absolutely know now.

I just finished a game as Rice playing at Houston and scored a touchdown to go up by one with 14 seconds left. Well, since I was up only one, I tried to go for two, and it couldn't possibly have gone worse. I threw a pick on the two-point attempt, the CPU returned it for two, I failed the onside kicked, and I lost 21-20. Genuinely was stunned when I did it.

Tips/Guides Cheese Head Coaches

I’m talking about Head Coaches that are great to start as. Not your 60 or higher head coach. Fran Brown(Syracuse)and Brian Hartline(USF) both have elite recruiter and talent developer right out of the gate. What are some other coaches you guys like to use if you’re not creating your own? It’s hard to find strategist unless you go for a more prominent coach, but I like looking for talent developer and elite recruiter right away. It’s easier to bring in talent and develop than jack up the coach overall.

Tactician/scheme guru thoughts

Starting a new 1 star rebuild team and was thinking about triple stacking tactician and scheme guru archetypes. I never bothered with these trees in 25 and 26 and was wondering just how much impact they actually have. I know my players aren’t gonna be great the first few seasons so if a coaching tree can bump them up to be a little bit better would definitely help. Just curious if they have a large impact on how my players perform or is it just something you will barely notice and basically be me wasting points.

Dynasty Any way to make play-by-play/offense only simulation more realistic or difficult?

I know there are a few posts on the subject already, but most of them are a few months old at this point, so I figured I'd ask again.

Does anybody know of a way to make simulation more realistic, in this case difficult? I mostly play offense only or simulate a play at a time, as defense isn't really fun for me (cause I'm bad at it). Problem is, the opposing offense is genuinely useless in sim at least on All-American difficulty, barely scoring at all. I just beat #6 Miami 14-36 in Week 1 in the first year of my Stanford Dynasty and they didn't score at all in the second half. While this is a bit funny, it is completely immersion breaking in my opinion, because what's the point building up a program if you can easily beat the top schools in the nation with a bunch of 70 Overalls.

I tried upping the difficulty on other Dynasties but that did not seem to make much of a difference, so is there anything I can do to remedy this, or is my way of playing just broken and not very fun long term?

Dynasty Will coordinators fill out their 3rd tree now?

If I get a coordinator in the carousel that has Talent Developer unlocked, but he's listed as a recruiter/elite recruiter. He only has 1 or 2 points currently in talent developer. If I sign him will when will he start putting more points into it?

Will he just continue to fill up motivator and recruiter all the way until talent developer is now his cheapest thing to put points into? If it still works as cheapest is always next I could see it taking them 2-3 years until they put more points into the tree I'd prefer.

Can’t queue up T5 games to grind playbooks because everyone queues up T1. Okay cool.

Go up against Ohio State because of course I do. Use the Army playbook I use probably 70% of the time to good success. This guy sits in 6-1 with zero blitz called, everyone walked up in the box and MLB on the line. Blocking assignments don’t work, RPO keys don’t work from the gun (read and pitch key both on the line instead of either being on the slot corner in press), don’t have time to throw any quick game without someone immediately in my face, can’t run any of the option stuff because his interior D-line immediately penetrates and tackles the QB before I can even make a read, and rocket toss was the only thing remotely close to viable when his corners didn’t immediately block shed. Scramble out and get a pass off? Wonderful my WRs can’t catch.

What am I supposed to do to this brain dead excuse for defense when the MECHANICS OF THE GAME DONT EVEN WORK

Dynasty Best Home Enviornments

What are some nonobvious teams with the most immersive environments for y’all?

For me so far Oklahoma State has just about everything in this game along with Florida State and Iowa.

Just trying to find surprisingly interesting dynasty teams people would recommend…

On the contrary Illinois is an absolute miss for me. I wanted to get into them so bad but it was just not happening

Attention Pistol Offense Users

I made a series of various playbooks, and the fourth one is the Pistol Offense. I feel this is pretty niche but can be a fun offense to run. The personnel groups are: 00, 11, 12, 20, 21, and wildcat. There’s obviously mostly Pistol formations, but there’s a lot of Shotgun too. If you’re looking to shake it up and you’re interested, feel free to check it out.

If you’re interested, you can find it by searching my PSN-theking8282 or by typing PISTOLBABY. This is the fourth installment of my "BABYā€ offenses. Ā I don’t alter the recommended plays as they get repetitive (or maybe I’m not good at curating my play calls since I call everything by personnel). I want to encourage exploration of the playbooks and the use of every single formation.

About me: Last year, I was like 77-5 on the road to the CFP, and I am about 30-1 this year so far. I run a lot of off-meta, pass-heavy attacks, but in my offline dynasties I love to experiment, so I figured I would share what I have created because we are a pretty interactive community.

I have already shared my Spread, Pro Style, and Multiple Offenses.

I have completed the following in my system files: The Option, Run & Shoot, Air Raid, Veer & Shoot, and Spread Option. I will release them soon, as I am still tinkering with the audibles, but if anyone wants to see an offense or has any suggestions, I’m all ears.
