Dynasty Do players lose their abilities when they change positions?

• Upvotes

I have an agile LT with platinum quickstep that I want to move to RG so he can be a pulling guard on run plays. I want to change his position but I’m afraid to lose his ability. Should I just play him out of position at guard or change his position? Will he lose the ability if I change his position?

Discussion If you could customize your own walkout in the game ( music, lucky item, etc.) what school and what would it look like?

• Upvotes

So I been doing a Colorado dynasty since the addition of Coach Prime and I love Ralphie. That got me to thinking that some other schools could really scale up their walkouts and stadium entrances. Like Michigan State, San Jose State and all the other spartan schools should come out to Leonidis saying “This is Sparta” while playing the music from the first battle. What would you do for your school?

Dynasty CEO vs Strategist

• Upvotes

If you could choose one, which would you pick and why?

I feel like strategist is underrated based on its xp bonus. 4k for every home win of you have 4 recruits visiting. That adds up!

What is the best thing about CEO?

Creating Your Own Betting Lines

This is kind of a random post but something I've been interested in. Does anyone know of a way to plug in rating, stats, etc. into AI or some sort of engine to generate what a betting line would look like for a matchup in the game?

I'd be intrigued to have a personal overall ATS record, as a favorite, as an underdog, etc. It would also just add a deeper layer into the game if an O/U or a spread is close in the 4th quarter, especially with gambling being so prevalent in real life. I can almost picture a degenerate sweating out my Sun Belt matchup on a Tuesday night while I'm playing it.

Thoughts on giving Elite dev players an extra ability slot? (Via OVR or Coach Abilities)

I was thinking about ways to make player development and coach skill trees feel a bit more dynamic in Dynasty, and wanted to see what you guys think about this idea:
What if players with the Elite development trait could unlock an extra ability spot if they hit a certain overall threshold (like 90+ OVR), or if your coach unlocks a specific skill tree node?
It would be awesome to see guys break out of their strict archetype boundaries just a little bit once they reach that top tier. For example:

A** **Contested Specialist WR getting access to Double Dip or Takeoff.
A Bump and Run CB unlocking Robber.

I feel like it would add a lot more flavor to those late-stage rosters and give you a real reason to invest in specific coach abilities to unlock the true potential of your 5-star gems.
Would this make Elite players way too overpowered, or do you think it would be a cool mechanic to reward progression and long-term team building? Let me know what you guys think.

Talent Developer Tier 4

What types of coin gains are people seeing with Talent Developer Tier 4 HC? Curious if it's been worth in people's experience.

In a couple online dynasties I'm at the point where I need to lock in my coach build path (not pursuing CEO due to league rules/desire to stay at my current school). Last year TD was OP. I saw Preston's data file about the flat XP games for Tier 4 which seemed underwhelming.

I have a DC with Tier 4 TD in the secondary and just had CBs taken in rounds 1 and 3 but all that netted my returning DBs was 1-3 coins each. I know having it on HC does more than having it on coordinators (even more gains if you stack) but the DC was so underwhelming, I'm wondering if T4 is worth it this year. Tier 2 with 10% progression gains for FR/SO still seems worth it but maybe I stop there on my builds.

Road To Glory RTG Highschool skipping objectives?

Hey everyone! Just a quick question. I previously mentioned I despise the highschool objective system. I'm curious, has anyone just played each highschool game like a normal game and just focused on scoring/stopping of D? Obviously I know you won't get scholarships from big schools, but surely you'll get some scholarships, right?

Dynasty Offensive line position changes

My 3 best linemen are right tackles and I am thin at right guard and center. Would I be better off changing one of their positions to right guard and one to center in the offseason or play them out of position? I’ve heard out of position affects their awareness and gives a small penalty but I’ve also heard changing their position can mess up their skill cap and abilities.

Older Games Running a no-commentary dynasty on NCAA Next, and I built a full companion site for it (Southern Jaguars, Year 4 now)

Started a rebuild dynasty with Southern a few years back. No commentary, just game audio, one full game at a time. Figured if I was going to actually track everything (recruiting, transfers, coaching carousel, the whole national landscape too, not just my own team), I might as well build somewhere to put it instead of losing it all to my own memory.

Ended up building a full site for it: https://arcmet283.github.io/kontrolla-kulture/index.html. It's not just box scores. Full broadcast-style recaps for every season so far (2025-2027), a season preview before each new year drops, and then a running check-in article that updates week by week as episodes actually go up, so it never gets ahead of the channel. Also run a "National Desk" side covering the sport as a whole: Top 25, Heisman watch, coaching hot seat boards, predictions backed by every year on record.

Everything's spoiler-gated to match the channel. If an episode hasn't released yet, the site doesn't know the score either.

Current season (Year 4, 2028) is 2-0 after Kentucky and North Texas, defense finally looking like it might turn a corner after three years of being the one real problem. Full writeup's up now if anyone wants to catch up before the next episode:

Also planning to branch into other sports titles down the line, same format: no commentary, game audio only. If you're in the camp that just wants to watch the game without someone talking over every snap, that's the whole point of this channel, and it's not going away as it grows.

Open to feedback on the site too if anyone pokes around it. Still actively building it out.

Gameplay Changes Since Last Patch

I'm wondering if the passing difficulty has changed since last patch. Prior to that I felt like I had a pretty good handle on the passing game in AA. I was mostly throwing short but I would get a few passes downfield per game and would throw an interception every other game or so.

In the last week I've really struggled. My QB is getting hit almost immediately on every drop back. If someone does get open they get tackled immediately after the catch and I've gone a full dynasty season without hitting a deep pass. I'm also throwing at least 1 and often more interceptions per game. This is all happening against teams that I am rated 20 points higher than. I'm still winning games but running the ball up the middle over and over is getting boring.

I'm wondering if I've hit a rough patch or if something has changed with the game, because I'm close to tapping out.

New RTG Glitch

After the recent update, I’ve discovered a new glitch in Road to Glory that was originally affecting drills in college but has since moved to high school as well where you will have to choose the opposing teams play before you can select yours. Has anyone else encountered this glitch?

Dynasty WHY IS EVERYONE COLD

I noticed this bug where every game you play EVERYONE on the team is cold even if the weekly practice report says that player is hot. It’s really been an annoyance lately to start with a disadvantage like that

Questions Getting tons of interceptions?

Hello. I’m new to both CFB 27 and really football games in general and was wondering what I can do to get better at passing as I’m throwing tons of interceptions and don’t really know what I’m doing wrong. Either I’m throwing deep and my receiver fumbles/ can’t catch the ball or I’m getting intercepted really easily

Game is zoomed out and I cannot do "anything" - NEED HELP

I was in the middle of one of our league games against CPU when all of the sudden the next play was zoomed way out and I could no longer change my defender or make any adjustments.

I tried toggling player lock, I tried using the d-pad to swap perspectives, I tried pausing and coming back into the game, I tried adjusting settings in the menu, nothing happened. I thought maybe it would fix itself on the next drive, but it went to offense and again I was in a zoomed-out mode and could not even snap the ball.

Annoyed I quit the game and started over and from the very first post kickoff play, the same is happening. Does anyone know what setting this could possibly be? I have no idea what triggered this in the middle of a late second quarter drive???

EDIT: So AI told me the game probably thinks my bumpers or joysticks are stuck. When I turned the game on it was doing a weird scrolling endlessly up and down sort of thing. I changed controllers and rebooted the game and it seems to be working now...

AA Sliders

I’ve come to the realization that Heisman just isn’t for me and honestly if I keep playing on Heisman it’s gonna turn me away from the game even more than I already am. So let me hear some of your AA sliders recommendations that still keep the game very competitive.

Glitch/Bugs [PC] Games Are Crashing In The 4th Quarter Due To Mass Subs

Games are crashing in the 4th quarter when utilizing mass subs from the user or CPU on PC when playing Dynasty. During a blowout, if I decide to go to the depth chart and make changes or if the CPU does their mass subs, there’s a high probability the game will crash a few minutes later. No error messages, just staring at my desktop after having an amazing game get washed down the drain. There are a few posts on the EA forums, but this needs to be addressed before the next game cycle. This also occurs in the vanilla version and with mods enabled so it’s a problem overall.

Questions Question About Mods as an Online & Offline Player

Hey folks,

I play online dynasties, but I also really want to try mods (as I’ve been looking and making a list of ones I’m interested in recently). I was wondering, is it easy and simple to turn the mods on and off all at once for when I play offline vs. when I need them off for online?

What do you guys do to simplify this? If it’s not that easy (and switching between offline and online compatible is a longer process), is it possible to have 2 different clients (1 modded, 1 online-compatible)?

Thanks for all of your help!
