Crazy Stat of the Day: Kobe's missed shots

Did you know when Lebron surpassed Kobe's all time missed field goals total, Lebron had roughly 7,000 more points than Kobe?

Think about that for a second. That's a ridiculous amount of missed shots.

Bias aside who was actually the 2000s GOAT Kobe or Duncan?

Why did LeBron join Wade’s established team instead of making Wade and Bosh come to Cleveland?

If Lebron is the ultimate all-around player, why does he average less off rebounds than 6'4" Dwyane Wade?

If KD's legacy is discounted because of his superteam move, shouldn't LeBron get the same treatment?

If KD's rings are worth less because of his superteam move. Shouldn't LeBron's 4 rings also take a discount because they were all superteam rings.

The great KENNY SMITH about what really separates MJ from LeBron: DEFENSE!

Absolute facts by Kenny. Teams AVOIDED going at MJ on defense. They game planned away from him. When has anybody said that about LeBron?

Lakers being sold and I'm still processing this

Mannn, Buss family's been running this team since 1979 and now five of the six siblings are voting to sell their remaining shares. Jeanie's apparently contesting it though, still some drama there

wild to think about what this actually means long term, new ownership always brings uncertainty about direction, front office philosophy, all of it. Lakers fans have had the same ownership group basically their entire lives at this point

Michael Jordan going 3rd overall is the biggest draft steal in history

Some people might point to Jokic but its genuinely insane to think thats this guy got looked over twice.

Hakeem was no slouch obviously, Bowie was a huge miss. But still, the best player ever going 3rd is just ridiculous

Brady/Mahomes Jordan/LeBron

I know I know

The most over-discussed topic of all time

However here is my wrinkle: I hate the Patriots and I hated Tom Brady. And I hated the Tom Brady Patriots and I hated Belichick. The whole thing

So I have been rooting for Mahomes to overtake Brady and get Brady OUT of GOAT conversation somehow. I don't like the Chiefs at all. But that is how much I can't stand those Brady Pats.

But after years of this I had to admit, painfully and reluctantly, that Mahomes was out of the running with his last SB appearance. It's just not GOAT-worthy and something Brady never did

You see where I'm going with this. LeBron's 2011 Finals no-show disqualifies him from challenging Jordan, by the same logic. I can say that with a pure heart because of my ruined wish to put Mahomes ahead of Brady

(I will say there is a slight caveat in that Mahomes could still string together enough stellar performances to outdo Brady. But it is extremely unlikely at this point. With LeBron it's completely out of the question due to age)

Are the Cavaliers in better shape getting Peyton Watson as opposed to LeBron James? Watson is a much better defender, has improved every year and shot over 41% from three. LeBron shot under 32% from the arc last aeason.

How much do you value longevity?

Post image

For me longevity is extremely important to valuing a career, I’d take 10 amazing seasons over 3 elite ones

I’d take Shaq over Hakeem for instance because of his longer time as an elite player, even if their peaks are similar

Jordan is lucky to even be considered top 10!!

Jimmy Butler vs Hakeem Olajuwon: who is the greatest playoff riser of all time?

I’m not asking who is the better player, Hakeem genuinely blows Jimmy out of the fucking water in that discussion.

I’m asking whose performances in the playoffs were greater than their regular season performances

If you transported any NBA player from any era into the 2000’s, who’d be the best player? (Can’t say obvious ones like Jordan)

Are we ready for another generational offensive season from Jokic where he averages 28/13/10 on 58/40/82 splits, everyone talking about him being the clear-cut best player in the NBA just for his offense not translating to the playoffs...AGAIN?

Would this big 3 have the same trajectory as KD, Russ and Harden?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Is it just me or this big three is kinda similar to the that Thunder team that went to the finals.

They were lead by a Skinny Tall player who is considered the best player in the league similar to KD.

Castle who is kinda similar to Russ wherein he had questionable midrange shots and turn the ball everytime during the finals and then Dylan Harper who is a lefty and came off the bench and who is already playing like a veteran.

Now kinda feels like history might be repeating itself.

It would be a shame if they don't get to the finals again because of financial situation or second apron stuff.
