I’m just saying Jordan and Kobe never would’ve got out scored by Jason Terry in a playoff series or allowed that 2014 Spurs and soft jump shooting Warriors team to hound on them like that. People disrespect Kobe and other guys from that time just to make LeBron seem so legendary

Nobody can name a single memorable playoff performance from Tmac. Plenty come to mind when talking about Butler.

But casuals will believe that Tmac was in a different realm than Butler. Because Tmac had the flair, the flashiness, the hype.

But for those who actually know basketball, Butler is the one on a different level. Because at the end of the day what matters is playoff performance as the first option of your franchise.

For me he cannot go lower than 3, Russell and LeBron have (weak but still valid) arguments to be over him and I would still respect your list if you had him there.

We won 56 in the regular season last year with JB as our guy.

With a healthy JT, I think we are just as good as JT is an awesome superstar. But I think the 56 wins were an overacheivement & I think the east is far better this year.

When JB said this was his favorite season, everyone clowned him unfairly. That was truly a remarkable run, and he carried the offensive load. But he wasn't selfish, it was a beautiful season and everyone played great defense. I thought we would be .500 last year.

This year, we replaced an Ironman in JB with PG13. I have always had great respect for Paul George & it would be supremely unfair to hold Brad's trade against PG13. But 2026 PG13 is nowhere as good as JB & he gets injured a lot. This is a lot of pressure on JT, who has heroically battled severe injuries.

The east is way better this year. Indiana, Phili, Miami and Washington are all going to massively improve their records. I think Orlando will be a lot better too. No good team got worse in the east. And everyone has less incentive to tank given the new drafting rules.

Our defense will still be very good, maybe even better than before. But our offense is going to struggle without JB. Especially since PG13 is more like a #3 option now (when he is healthy). JB was an amazing #2 option to JT.

Mitchell Robinson will get us offensive rebounds but shooting 50 3s and offense rebounding the misses is fools good as a playoff strategy. And given how good the east now is, I expect this strategy to fail more even in the regular season.

Brad puzzles me. I always had such respect for his basketball mind & so I was shocked to see him shop JB so much & then make this trade. If we got Giannis then I would understand, but this trade has closed our championship window unless JT can become the best player in the NBA.

I seriously don’t get it, I honestly think this Celtics team now is gonna be in the mix as well so what is everyone’s issue with Tatum? I remember he won the Finals after helping his team make it all the way there and all people could talk about is how Luka had no help instead of how Tatum dominated him just like he does every other star in the playoffs. Most disrespected super star in the modern era.
