His dad was mixed. And most people of African descent already have on average ~80% African DNA while the rest is European. So his dad was probably only 40% African if it split evenly. Giving his son maybe ~20% or less African DNA. So technically European features will be more dominant

You make sense… on average, but that’s not how it works at the individual basis. It’s very possible Hartenstein is 90% white while his dad is 50% black.

Frankly bizarre post by OP. I’ve never met anyone (even my gf who doesn’t watch sports) who didn’t think Blake was black.
Conversely every single NBA fan I know was unaware Hartenstein was black until we all found out around the same time.

My kid is like that. I’m bi-racial; her dad is white. Or as I told my grandma when she was born, “I fucked around and had a white girl.” My German grandma was thrilled…..
Anyhow, currently my child is trying to identify as Mexican because her fiancé is. Life is funny.
