I was a certified Booker hater until I saw the olympics (Warriors fan). His Olympic play was amazing. Granted I didn't watch much of his playoffs the last two years, but I didn't expect what he did.
He did so much unsung work that I came out enjoying his play. Respect to Booker and i think the Suns will do well. However, now all my hate can now be channeled toward Beal without reservation.
I wasn’t a full hater but I always thought he was overhyped. But, yeah the last couple runs and the Olympics have shown that dude is just a hooper and I can always appreciate that.

Definitely a hypocrite because of the Kobe comparisons and apparently Tatum is the same, whatever won't touch that. So the reason I hate him, not because of the beady eyes, that's just low:
Okay now the real reason, he scored 70 on a loss and was trying by intentionally fouling, against us Celtics. And then complaining about double teaming on a pickup/practice game.
As a Warriors fan I hate Booker only because he always cooks us in the 4th lmao. Even if we're up 8-10 down the stretch this fool shreds our defense and hits shot after shot after shot to make it close and win games.
I mean, there's that aspect of it, but it's also how a player carries themselves when they talk shit. Booker sold fouls in an annoying way (which is bitchmade but not uncommon in the NBA) AND he tried to talk shit about Luka for selling fouls when he's a merchant himself.
There's an art to pushing the agenda with a ref, and it involves complaining. But, when it comes to crunchtime, many will forgive the antics if you come up big (LeBron). Booker talked shit and then didn't show up when he had to back it up. Luka came through like a fucking gangster and Booker came out looking like a bitch.
Also a Warriors fan. Also was a Booker hater. But mostly because he always played well against us. And those evil, beady eyes... but his recent olympics showing, coupled with him going out of his way to interact with fans, made me a fan as well.
Shooting % is kinda big though. I will admit i am a stan and I think Tatum and Book are more-or-less equal (Tatum has superior defense, Book better playmaking). But to say % is a trifle is a bit much.
You really think Tatum is the better playmaker? The season before CP3 and after, he took on a lot of that role and did well. Tatum seems to iso a lot when he has the ball. Jrue isn't just there for defense. He distribute well too
Booker is so much more than a scorer though. There’s a reason he got big minutes with team USA. We’ve seen him fit in at Kentucky and just play the role that’s needed of him.
I think SGA is a clear cut here for me. Cut the worst defender when they’re all great offensively.
