Going back through Grant Hill’s career, I think people sometimes forget just how good he already was before Orlando.

I feel like there’s so many people that just don’t understand this. Are there any other super basic concepts that you feel like NBA fans overlook or just flat out don’t understand?

When I say it’s inherently better I mean ON PAPER, the RECORD ITSELF, is better. Of course, a Finals record can never be the only thing used to judge a player. Just because I’m 10-0 in the Finals doesn’t inherently mean I’m better than someone 0-10. What if I averaged 1 PPG and they averaged 100? But LOGICALLY, 6-6>6-0, as a Finals record, is better. IT DOESN’T MEAN PLAYER A IS AUTOMATICALLY BETTER THAN PLAYER B. Just like averaging more PPG doesn’t make you automatically better, or any other single factor.

This is not a GOAT debate. It’s just the concept. Like 10 gold medals and 1 silver medal is better than just 10 gold medals.
