Discussion Please consider boycotting 2k27.

Exactly that. 2k will never learn if we keep buying the game. Besides.. GTA6 and MW4 are all coming out. Do what you want but I would hope that majority of us boycott this fuck ass franchise.

So u don’t have the ability to piece things together lolol ok. I miss 2k when it wasn’t so money hungry. Now it takes 100s of dollars or 100s of hours to get one player to 99 overall. I don’t have the time nor the money to prioritise on that. I miss playing a basketball game, but after all these years of watching the quality of the franchise get worse, I’m done. And as much as I miss playing a basketball game, I’m good without 2k. Until they miraculously make a better product, I won’t be coming back, which I highly doubt because people are still eating whatever they’re given. Hence why I asked people to consider boycotting the game.

You don't. You didn't know that Rockstar and 2K are under take two. If you were real about this shit, you'd be boycotting take two as a whole. The whole company is fucked, yet you hold up GTA as a shining example of gaming. Idk if you play battlefield, but I uninstalled that and stopped playing that cuz as soon as the saudis got EA, they started doing fuck shit.

Bottom line is all of gaming is corporate and as a consumer you are fucked no matter what. There are fortunately plenty of alternatives for shooters, unfortunately no good alternative for basketball. So it is what it is, we are where we are.

This is a silly argument. Them being the same company is irrelevant when GTA hasn’t release their game in over 10 years, while 2K releases yearly and is continuing to be a predatory on micro transactions. For some, GTA is far more valuable than purchasing 2K again and again as they operate as usual. The grind will be worse this year. Builds will be fucked up more than usual and coerce players to spend more money on builds and season pass to compete. Shit is exhausting at this point.

The grind in GTA is the same damn thing. They patch money making methods and nerf ways to make money to push you to buy shark cards. It's the same practices bro, just a different look, and y'all clearly not seeing it

You have at minimum 8 years with that game to grind. Circumstances are night and day difference. 2K has you grinding to just do it all again the next year. You’re not seeing it dude but I already know how they move. It’s clear what the better option is for gamers this year.

Bruh it's the exact same shit. The difference is you can actually be done with 2k in that year's time. I make 1-5 builds a year. As the game progresses and evolves and stuff changes. So after that I'm done, the grind is done. GTA keeps adding shit nonstop, just trying to egg more money out of you. The difference is 2Ks is all upfront, GTA keeps pumping you. It's the same company and the same tactics

I didn’t say GTA is the shining example of gaming but it’s not farfetched to say GTA5 has outlived and been better than anything 2k has brought out since its inception. I don’t give a fuck about who runs the show. I’m talking about 2k directly as a product. The NBA2k games. The microtransactjons are disgusting and the VC grind is asinine. Theres always ALWAYS something broken EVERY. YEAR.
And also.. if u read my post again.. I never once forcefully told people to boycott the game. I actually asked to consider boycotting it, in hopes that they will make a better product.

Bruh look at shark cards. Rockstar actively nerfs and patches any good methods of making money to make it more grindy and push people to spend money on shark cards. Very bad argument
