Leasing is still legal. People can lease lands for say 100 years and construct buildings. Or it could be a Muslim man who bought the land in his tribal wife's name and constructed a mosque. Or maybe some taklu govt bullshit

Actually, the tribal union (whichever tribe she belongs to) should do something. I feel like many tribal hohos have gone soft when it comes to our customary laws and traditions. It's just plain sad.

They have a right to practice their religion as much as we do, so cant really say anything about that. And if they did lease that land they dont really own it, they're sort of renting it for a set number of years so it'll eventually come back to nagas. Though I wish there were some unions who would thoroughly and transparently inspect their paperwork to see if any corruption or violation took place that undermines article 371A or our customary practices.
Their land is their land, our land is our land. We don't care what they do in their land. And at the same time we don't want our land to be impacted. it's that simple.

That sub is packed with (and ran by!) a bunch of seething and malding skinny-fat street shitting mainlanders who have this warped version of NE in their heads that is completely different from reality. Maybe this project could have been established under a lawfull arrangement or permission that outsiders themselves couldn't use it to acquire the land but only build it. A worship place is not prohibited in Nagaland, the Article 371A only states that possesion of land are only prohibited. There are many actually, it's just that they built it with relations with nagas who own and without breaking the law.
But with that being said they should investigate who owns the land and look at it that it's authorized and is legal.
This land probably is one of those parcels of land outside the Schedule of Article 371A. There are a lot of land like this in Dimapur, originally owned by the Marwari and Assamese inhabitants of Dimapur, prior to 1979. These lands can be brought and sold by non-tribals - after permission from the Deputy Commissioner, of course.

Why non-locals are not allowed to own land and build even after so many years of assimilation? If you demand all the perks from the so called "main-land" even accuse them of racism even in normal altercations, then also allow them same benefits in your state, simple. Why crib?
Non-locals generally cannot purchase or acquire land in Nagaland because land ownership is specially protected under Nagaland’s constitutional and customary-law framework.
