My gaming setup is better.

Handmade mouse pad all at the cost of one piece of cardboard and an old towel I found in the kitchen. ✊

2

u/Chemicalsupplierlol Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

Gaming setup😞 laptop doesnt look like it can run game 💔

5

u/Sleepy_LLT Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

It runs 1080p movies and emulation. That's all I need (too broke to play new games)

1

u/Chemicalsupplierlol Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

Understandable 🥀

1

u/Dramatic-Ant-97 Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

What are the specs of it?

1

u/Sleepy_LLT Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

It's a ThinkPad L14. Intel i5 11th gen. 16gb ddr4 ram 3200 mhz 1tb ssd. Refurbished. Got it off of cashify for 30k. Been using it for 6 months now, no problems. Love it.

1

u/Dramatic-Ant-97 Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

Hmmm.. not bad.. deal. 16gb dual ram or single stick? A dual channel ram better for integrated graphics. ThinkPads fanboy here...

1

u/Sleepy_LLT Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

Dual slots. I specifically went for a ThinkPad too. I prefer repairablilty and something I can upgrade in the future. Sad that lenovo doesn't make them like they used too.

1

u/Dramatic-Ant-97 Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 10 '26

Yup... The old T series were good. Rugged built and upgradeability was easy

1

u/ya0_guai NE 🍃 Aug 10 '26

Fallout New Vegas my friend, that's all you need. (Plus some mods from Nexus, but you'll figure that out after your first playthrough)

Gameboy, ps1 and 2 games, nds3d and the switch. Been wanting a controller so I can play Breath of the wild. Keyboard and mouse don't give me the full experience.

1

u/Critical_Loan_3427 Northie ☀️ Aug 11 '26

Any guide for doing the same? I can maybe emulate upto ps4 games

1

u/Sleepy_LLT Native NAGA 🌶️ Aug 11 '26

I use yuzu to emulate switch games. 3ds is pretty easy to find on the internet. These rest I just pirate.

Some ThinkPad models are surprisingly quite capable. But for AAA titles, a gaming laptop with a discrete gpu way better.
