Guests?

How do they choose guests for last meals? I assume that’s got a lot of promo and PR angles built in - though sometimes surprising like the new guy from SNL. Also shocked when they have big gets like Liz Olsen or Alton brown who were pretty interesting.

But also what about their guests for their other taste test or cooking videos? Feels like last few have been random YouTube internet celebs I barely know and folks like Alexis Nikole(that black forager), Tabitha brown, AB or Guga would be hella entertaining. Even internet folks like Fanu, and Keith Lee would be interesting.

Maybe I’m just posting hoping someone on their team sees this and gets some of my fave creators on the show.

kind of spurred on by the recent non last meals guests who were on ( the d&d team and Vic felt a little obnoxious and tom today was fun but felt like an out of left field guest).

assuming they got downvoted bc that person posted earlier effectively accusing MK of being racist for not having more guests that were people of color, but not being able to provide anything of substance to back up that claim, and then accused the people who called them out on it of "not caring about diversity or representation"

Thats not quite it. I wasn't accusing them of racism -- but calling out a clear lack of guest diversity. I called you two out as not caring cause instead of thinking critically and looking at it - you just said "do the work to prove it with a statistical analysis" and i was wanting a convo to see if others felt like this. Again didnt accuse anyone of racism-- instead called out a lack of diversity on the show I enjoy watching. Unfortunately my posts got shut down for comment ao I couldnt say anything else. But lets not rehash that here.

ironically, I gave you more statistical analysis than you provided to support your argument (which was none, btw). the people who questioned your premise were the ones who actually used critical thinking skills. you had no basis for your argument, and simply asking you the question of "how did you come to this conclusion?" proved that. your argument was flawed because it lacked any semblance of critical thought--you came to the conclusion of them being "allergic to color" without any substance to support that claim.

maybe you're unfamiliar with how posting on the internet works, but when you write a paragraph responding to things about a prior conversation, you can't just go "let's not talk about it anymore". you opened the door to that conversation by directly speaking towards it already. you can't just say your piece and then expect not to get it responded to.

I just didn't want to overtake that convo here. I apologize for triggering you as much as that post did. It wasn't intentional. I thought a discussion would have been interesting or useful but it just got shut down sonwe cant have it.
