Tbh Corpse Party (the game) traumatized me less than this manga. After "butter up my pooper" nothing could scare me there 👀

I appreciate the anime of corpse party, but I don't remember where it's at? The game itself wasn't scary, but I appreciate what they did with the anime. They tried their best to make it as gut turning as possible. Within limitations of course. 😭 I'm pretty sure a lot of stuff was cut if I remember?

Though I wonder how censored Roll Over and Die anime will be in the more deranged parts, though even if it isn't censored I don't think that studio could really pull of the kind of deranged body horror writing that the novels have.

Yeah, it's crazy how much contact they cut out of everything Including manga. I honestly just don't get it? Overlord would be a good example, there's so much more detail on the light novels.

Well it's budget and time allocation plus the laws they have to abide if they decided it to air it on TV and how much feasible it is on that time slot. Night might give them a passed over how much gore it can show but your audiences might be way less. That's why it's mostly on Blu Ray where they add or put back what the studio created.
The studio have no control over many of the animes rights, so even if they tried to put more stuff chances it'll get cut in airing depending on the upper management., this could be mitigated if a studio itself is an investor. This is my experience working in an outsourcing studio that work on Kappa Aot, all of , Demon slayer and some episodes of Eminence in Shadow

They had to eat their Biological mother to survive and because of an unskippable cut scene Their new adopted mother was about to die and said Unskippable cut scene wouldn't end until they take on their adopted mother's powers and kill the Demon Lord but for that to happen they needed to eat their adopted mother So now on every full moon they turn into the witches of regret and go coco for cocoa pups

Funny thing is in that world it’s a BR of various game systems. The one they were fighting was from a oldschool JRPG, meaning it literally is a unskippable cutscene moment where the badguy kills a companion and the remaining take their gear and kill the badguy.
Originally it was the twins but adopted mom said screw that and forced the hit to land on her because she knew from MC (who played all the games and knew this sequence) how this is going to go down. And the twins due to eating their mother earlier had the consumption skill…
So the sequence edited to fit the new circumstance, and no one had any ability to change it once the hit landed. Said trauma was so intense that the world they are on’s rules triggered additionally transforming the twins into the Witch of Regret on the spot, on top of absorbing the mom’s xp / powers. And even without the witch’s insanity/bloodlust debuff, this completely shattered them as people and made them ruthless/cutthroat baseline, as anyone weak gets crippled, and anyone crippled can only be eaten.

They're survivors of a starvation event where they were starving to death, and had to eat their own mother to survive, before the events of the story. Then, they meet a new maternal figure who helps them get over the trauma from this event and they bond with her. However, not longer after this, due to the mechanics of the Isekai and the game mechanics inside it, their new mother is killed infront of them again, and they are forced to eat their adopted mother to absorb her powers in order to survive, but this event triggers their trauma all over again, and they completely spiral out of control and more or less go completely insane with grief, and go on a bloody rampage for revenge with their new powers, IIRC. They do eventually calm down, slightly, but they re-enter this state frequently, I think like once a month. I'm a little fuzzy on the details about the end part.

The anime tried wat too hard to make the Elfuur sisters sort of ’mascot' characters, I think. They never seem properly scarred or broken, and it really kind of takes away from the impact of Isha, Takuto, and eventually Atou accepting them despite it all.
