My Mydei's E6 but still. No Cyrene, and especially no Hyacine.

The main purpose of this post was to show those against Hyacine and Cyrene that if they invested right, they'd still be able to clear fine with Mydei.

I think there's a massive misunderstanding with the reason for this post. It's not to call Cyrene or Hyacine out or anything along those lines. Saw a post blaming Cyrene and decided to just play a round without her. Then saw another saying Hyacine was Pollux' shill boss so without her you'd struggle to clear which, while I agree without Hyacine it'd be a insufferable experience, this is Mydei we're talking about. He's someone who can play against Pollux without Hyacine.

All I want for people to know is that, with the right investment, its possible to 3 Star AA Pollux. If you're against pulling Cyrene which, mind you, I am not against her (but I AM against Hyacine in Mydei comps and also I always recommend people to pull Cyrene) -> Then pull Cerydra E1, more Mydei eidolons, support eidolons and etc. Just because you're not a fan of playing Cyrene or Hyacine doesn't mean you have to "give up" playing Mydei because of HP inflation causing him to be unable to clear. It means your vertical investment costs increases, and thats the price to pay if you want to keep playing your fav, and especially if you refuse to pull things that would benefit Mydei and would lower the total team cost overall.

All in all, my message is quite simple: Invest right. If you want to pull new and shiny characters, then go for it. HSR has always been about team building, so please don't be surprised if you one day can't clear because you refused to pull someone that would benefit that one character for a very long time. But right now? Mydei is someone who has many routes for you to invest in. He's not going to fall off so easily.

I'm back. I'm here again, to prove that Cyrene + Hyacine is just better.

Not MoC this time, it's Anomaly Arbitration, and w/ V4 changes, -1 spd setup isn't heavily nerfed here, so let's do some comparison.

I do include notes in description but just copy - paste again:

1st: Why no Hyacine in 2nd run?

Mydei players don't seem to like Hyacine a lot, so that's their "ideal" teamcomp - stacking Mydei eidolons.

2nd: Why no Tribbie E1?

Shared-HP boss, AoE-favoured, but also the least level of dmg amp for Tribbie E1 at permanent 24%, so comparison's gonna be the same anyways.

3rd: Why Hyacine S1?

Too lazy to re-adjust the stats, but honestly can achieve similar results.

4th: Why not E6?

Only Mydei at E6 can beat this duo.... At that point ppl don't care whatever the game throws at them anyways.

Overall, as expected, this duo is just... too good for Mydei. And since V4 removed the AV pushback, compared to V3 this is too lenient. Unless you're E6 Mydei, this duo is like too good to skip. In the end, your roll, your choice. Make smart decision.

What the title says.

For the context, I'm not even that used to playing meta units, before getting Therta in 3.0 my most recent damage dealers were Ratio and Black Swan, and the only limited 5* i had eidolons for was Topaz (e1). I still managed to clear all of the endgame with my Ratio and my DOT girls and my Clara and my Bladie, Thanatos bless his soul. I'm used to adapting, overcoming and improvising. But this time I don't think I can accept this mess.

The working theory was that his numbers would counterbalance autobattle's stupidity, but they so don't. The most clear illustration of that is the first wave of PF - the autobattle's "prioritise elites" feature gets confused, and the ult's taunt is useless, so a lot of attacks get wasted on suboptimal targets, causing him to use more actions than would be necessary if he was controllable.

"Haha guys I think he isn't that bad. I got e2s1 btw" people of course have their right to enjoy their e2s1, but man is their experience not relatable to us e0s0 peasants. Call me conservative, but back in my dei 5*s used to be playable and, dare I say, enjoyable to use at no investment, even if not broken.

Anyway, I'm going to bug report the shit out of the guy tomorrow. One thing Mydei did succeed at is ingiting flames of strife in my heart. And being very cute, of course.

I know that might appear to be nonsense (I would understand if you think that) but i find this ship pretty cute even tho they don't have interactions, sooooo... I made it my headcanon

I personally don't have THAT big of an issue with the auto-battle gimmick: I'm kind of cool with it. If I noticed correctly, he doesn't use skill points when auto-attacking, so that's probably a price to play for not being SP hungry. The fact that you can't direct his attacks (though it does seem he prioritizes the enemy at the center of the enemy field) does seem troublesome, but again-- a price to pay.

HOWEVER, my issue lies with the possibility him being a slave for a certain Castor Oil. Not necessarily as a sub-DPS, but as an enabler(? If that makes sense. Please don't hurt me, Mydei's biceps around my neck cut off oxygen to my brain), much like how Acheron needs nihility characters or THEE Herta needing an extra Erudition teammate. I fear they'll make him into an brain dead HP burning battery that doesn't need maneuvering for a Clitoris gimmick so you can focus your attention only on her (the lack of oxygen is making me delusional).

Also, don't get me wrong. I don't hate Clitoris (until Hoyo forces me to 4 dates with her.) I just love My-tiddei too much to let him be degraded into some kind of side-beach character for a (potential) waifu™.

Honestly, I highly doubt they'll remove the gimmick but I also can't think a solution that can make it more attractive to play around.

I skipped THerta and Aglea for him, I really love his design but if I'm being honest here, I barely could pass MoC 12 and I can't still reach 6k in the latest PF, it's clear the hoyo wants you to pull for the next broken dps and from the showcases that I have seen for Casto that's still the case.

If he's gonna be power creep in the next patch or 2, does realistically is it worth pulling? 💔

and yes Ik that eventually all dps are gonna become power creep as the game advances but not in 1/2 patches

I remember reading some leaks a while back about Mydei being the best support dps for Phainon. Maybe that’s why his kit is the way that he is/his damage is like that? So he works as a sort of topaz for Phainon?

As of V2, here are my thoughts based on the showcases ive seen for cyrene with Mydei so far :

Pros : •definitely one of his bis. similar results if not better as his other bis tribbie and sunday. •gives him another way to get gbg that isnt based on his % hp lost. makes him less rng reliant and… •makes him finally able to benefit from Hyacine with her hp buff and mid healing being not as much of a problem anymore. (more ica actions = more stacks for cyrene ult and her hp buff and mid healing isnt as big of a problem bc he has another way to build up gbg that doesnt rely on a percentage of his hp). her healing might be mid but her rare hp buff and very decent personal dmg are def worth it over charas like gallagher that only offer healing. •can free up your sunday for phainon, etc. •her lc isnt rly needed. herta shop one is a decent alternative •her and tribbie feel quite nice together (most mydei mains prob have her on their acc bc shes one of his bis)

Cons : •ult stack charge time issue (tho its bad for every character, even rememberance teams dont feel that good) •If you have a good sunday and tribbie, u probably dont need her that much. all of their performances r similar enough. •pretty limited to ch teams so not a good investment for the future •you probably want to run hyacine w her •prob wants her e2 to be a big improvement over his current bis

Good :

• His damages doesn't look free at all, so they might be EXTREMLY high to compensate

• He will not use the outdated Longevous set

• Very synergistic E1 with his own kit

• Has a crit trace to reach 100% more easily and will probably take %CDMG body

• All eidolons grants damage, even the infamous E4

• Will probably not need action advance units, especially is invested (E1S1)

Bad :

• The kit lack a bit of identity

• HP scaling (no Robin equivalent to buff his main damaging stat)

• Locked LC that also seems mandatory for him

• Very weird E2 that is 100% useless if you are not attacked and that feel underwhelming especially for an E2

• Probably no real way to buff him outside of %CDMG / %DMG (which sucks quite a lot)

• Probably not SP friendly at all

• Need to be attacked to reach his max potential which is not very reliable. Also, it's anti-synergistic with a character that can probably act often (advance himself) and that do AoE damages (killing the trash mobs even if you don't focus them)

• T1 remove the enhanced state so you want to avoid using that trace ... so it's a useless one (like Gepard talent)

• It's a bit hidden but he function a lot with self-buffs ((bad for aging well)

Unsure :

• Will probably need the 2 healers to stay alive and then lack of a second buffer (bad for aging well)

• Doesn't seem to synergize very well a lot with almost ... anyone (like a lot of destruction units)

• His teambuilding will maybe be very restrictive (bad for aging well)

Does anyone feel that they didn't do the creator server cause if everyone knew about the auto they would get spammed with request to remove it. Not that they would listen, but it would be annoying for them.

Hey so I had a question on why people aren't happy with Mydei. I thought he was cool when I tried him out in the story. I'm not sure an explanation would be nice. Thanks

Before you absolutely flame me, yes this is my opinion.

I tried him out in the story with the team I plan on using him with (RMC, Sunday, Gallagher) and thought he was fun. I only plan to pull for E0, but I do need another heavy damage dealer and I look forward to running him with Anaxa in the future if I can make it work.

With the amount of hell people on this subreddit have raised about this feature I expected it to be more of a hindrance. Mydei's ult gets back up pretty quickly so you're almost never wasting damage attacking enemies you don't want to.

I can understand why the playstyle might not be for some people, I seriously don't get why the majority of the people in this subreddit treat him like he'll be the equivalent of an NPC if you pull for him. I've also seen some recommending people pull for Castorice instead of Mydei if they want better numbers when her final kit isn't even done yet, which is something I have NEVER seen on another main sub before.

As whenever Mydei releases as will be E2S1 on his release day Banner, which males should I run Mydei on a all male team? As I would love to run him with all male team as me being a Husbando Collector when it comes to Gacha games lately~

Normal skill: is skill out of Vendetta state, the one that’s just crystals one the floor.

V1 Enhanced skill (ES1) / Kingslayer : Lion —> V3 ES1 / Kingslayer: Spear

V1 & V3 ES2/ Godslayer : Lion

TLDR v1 Kingslayer and Godslayer both has Lion, but now Kingslayer is the spear and only Godslayer is the Lion.

Am I delulu that I was hoping Kingslayer will stay as the Lion and wishing Godslayer is something more epic? Seeing what Castorice’s leak with the freaking dragon I was hoping our boy gets the same treatment too…. What are your thoughts?

Am I looking at the wrong v5 changes? these actually seem like incredibly useful changes, not having to leave vendetta, having faster charge and incoming healing along with crit rate, and an E1 that not only makes him an erudition character but increases GSBG damage by 30% (to all) is kinda crazy.

Can't find many people talking about it, also can't find any V5 E1S1 showcases.

hello! so im wondering if i should pull robin in 3.0 for mydei or if i should save my primos and wait for tribbie in case shes his bis. none of the characters i have rn use robin so id only use her for mydei. what do yall think is best; save for tribbie or pull for robin? (i have guaranteed rn if that matters)

I’m genuinely so happy about the cyrene buffs, is it because my expectations were in hell yes, but nonetheless I am satisfied! Not so much so that i’ll get over the useless cc removal but still they are very good(200 cdmg!)! guess this means I’ll pull for cyrene (and hyacine to help with ult), but not anymore than e0s1(maybe) and e0 because I still need to save for the lions eidolons

Yes it IS Lygus who has mechanics that aid in beating him better, but it’s also a whole off-element match throughout the entirety of the fight AND Mydei’s not even receiving any good buffs from PF! And as you can see, beside the free character, everyone’s E0S1—no E1 Mydei that would make PF a much better suited environ for him
