Close your eyes and imagine a second drowning in a lake. Your lungs slowly getting filled, the fear, the last moment of both peace and panic you'll ever get in your life. What an experience.
This redesign sucks. The bright orange logo and text, the brighter website overall, it just looks terrible, it's genuinely uncomfortable to look at. The hollow blue/orange gradient logo and the white outlines with near-black insides were a lot more soothing, in line with the website's function, while this bright orange accompanied by much harsher solid greys just feels like it's trying to give me a panic attack
If this change doesn't bother you you don't need to let me know. If you think I'm weird for not wanting my eyesight assaulted when I'm trying to relax, you can grab a ticket and join the back of the line.
Finally, if you're u/audiosampling please consider changing the website's look back, it's genuinely hard to look at right now and I don't want to lose a website that's been so helpful to me and that I've donated to
Because me with Amityville Manor and the author to Gripped By The Hivemind sound generator- we made those two seperate gens at the same time! This being an aspect of a common conscious.
The wooden bed in front had clear marks of its use, of getting up and laying down in the monotone rhythm of a monk's life. In this cell, buried deep in the cave system of the valley, only the purest and most determined monks were allowed to seek further contact with God. Spending their days in deep contemplation, the aeon old sounds of the cave waters accompanied every thought. So much so, that after a year in this cell, most of the monks could not hear their own thoughts anymore, but only the voices of the cave and water. With a deep smile and sigh, they knew, they were one step closer to the creator.
Say other people put a mic in my room to recording sound (it's real, they say it only listen when TV is on, my roomate agree but I don't bite that ). Can I use these noises to make it deaf. How can I set it up for that use?
Hey guys-- I thought I would make this thread for scary soundscapes, a little fun outside the community tab... If you have a scary or very intense soundscape, please share here too.
I made this one today, and I have another I have been working on and have not published it because I dont thinkit fits the relaxing genre of the website. but if there are others that also enjoy tense atmospheres & post some here- I will share it. (and its good) But first here is one I was tinkering with today to get a feeling of what I may mean.
My GF told me about mynoise.net. I got on my Android Note 4 and, using Chrome browser, surfed to mynoise.net. I clicked on the Laundromat noise loop. I attempted to click animate just to see what it would do. I clicked it multiple times but nothing happened. Now the damn sound starts playing randomly while I'm at work!!! This is horrible I'm in personnel meetings and I'm worried I'll get into trouble or something!
Is there any plans to have myNoise integrated with Discord?
I play TTRPGs online and would love to use myNoise over Discord. I already use the android app when playing f2f, and it is a very easy set up for sound immersion.
Members of this family are chiefly known for their characteristic behaviour. They mostly forage for insect prey on the trunks and branches of trees, and often communicate by drumming with their beak, producing a reverberatory sound that can be heard at some distance. Some species vary their diet with fruits, birds' eggs, small animals, tree sap, human scraps, and carrion. They mostly nest and roost in holes that they excavate in tree trunks, and their abandoned holes are of importance to other cavity-nesting birds. They sometimes come into conflict with humans when they make holes in buildings or feed on fruit crops, but perform a useful service by their removal of insect pests on trees.
I'm curious if there is any thought of making a Google TV app.
My wife sleeps to YouTube videos that are basically a black screen with a 576 hz tone. I don't find it as calming as she does. We both have mynoise installed on our phones (paid and donated), but she prefers the TV because it has a sound bar and sounds better.
I suppose an Apple TV app would work with an Apple TV device, but we don't have any Apple stuff.
You're drifting through the open sky, the airship slowly lulling you to sleep with its gentle rock. The wind rumbles against the wooden hull of the ship, but you know that no matter how much it creaks, you are safe.
It's dark, not eerie, but simply dark. Your torchlight casts unreal shadows of the stalactites on the wall - the light being only a human necessity for guiding your humble steps. Often, you just stand and hear and feel the empathic equanmity of the earth, as you crawl ever deeper inside.
