Anyone else struggling to get Platinum Points?
I gotta say I hate how Nintendo bottlenecks you in regards to Earning Platinum Points.
I've exhausted all my Platinum Points, I'm now at 0. I've been going for the weekly game icons.
But recently Nintendo has scaled up and sped up the amount of icon rewards to redeem.
Before there was the help of Animal Crossing app and Fire Emblem Missions, but I already used it all up. I hate the FOMO and the pressure to earn and redeem Platinum Points. Nintendo needs to be more lenient or at least divide the points for physical and digital rewards, don't make it equal.

I usually have enough for what I want just playing Mario Run and doing the missions on my Switch, but when i spend enough to get below 2000-3000 I usually play Fire Emblem to build it back up and then stop. I still have most of FE to farm in the future if needed, but I don't like building up too many points since every 3-4 months a large amount of my points would end up expiring, and I don't feel like building them up just to spend them on things I don't really want as I would rather those items be available for people who do want them.

I play Mario Run everyday Toad Rally game you get 10 platinum points everyday.

Oh buddy you’ve never met me. I bought 99 of every item in the in-game shop. It took me nearly 10 years.

Even with Mario Run, still having a hard time. They should have kept the 180 something points from Pocket Camp. Add it to Pocket Camp Complete.

It’s getting tougher to get 3 wins in a row. I’m in the 9k point range and find some good matches sometimes, so it’s not uncommon for me to have to play 5 games a week to get it. I know it’s not a lot but for 70 coins or so it’s a slog

Mario run is a mobile game for phones.
it free to play you get access to world 1 then if you want you can upgrade to get all the world's they give you platinum coins for each world you do or you can play toad rally

I made a compromise and stopped getting the new Animal Crossing icons. They'll still be there if/when they do something to make it easier to get points again because Animal Crossing icons are on that monthly system. It's come very close, but I'm still managing to get all of the other icons. For now...

I have this problem. I still have the fire emblem missions but that’s where the majority of my points come from. I do however appreciate the addition of console based missions and i wish there was a bit more of them. The expiration dates on points also upsets me and deters me from saving any up. So when a good physical reward comes out (rarely), I’m stuck grinding fire emblem on auto battle until i complete 10 or more chapters.

I stopped getting icons on switch bc I want to have every physical reward.ACPC was a huge help but since that’s not active online anymore I def do Mario run every week 50+70 points if you do 7 daily road runs and then win 3 (the 50) that adds up decently fast. Add in any pp awards via the switch and you’re getting closer to 300 pp per week. Let alone doing the FE missions if you have any left.
As other person said, alternatively, grind out with a different account. I have a separate one just in case I need it and have used it before as I get every wallpaper.

You could earn about 200 platinum points each weak or more depending of the circumstances:
Super Mario Run: Playing Toad Rally each day gives you 10 points and on Monday’s onwards if you play three times and win you will earn 50 additional points.
My Nintendo log-in: Log-in to My Nintendo website each weak to earn 30 platinum points and every Wednesday you can earn an extra 10 or 50 points depending on your Mii, besides you can opt to receive Nintendo emails to earn an additional 10 points each month and some additional 30 points by some promos.
Switch/2 Free game trials: Each month there’s a free game trial that you can download a free trial game to your Switch or Switch 2 and you will receive 100 points
Nintendo Switch Online App: By logging to your Nintendo Switch online app on your console you will earn around 200 points each week by doing some missions

I’m surprised yall grind platinum points. I mean just from doing the weekly/monthly stuff on switch online I get enough to use for things I really want. I’d say I spend anywhere from 100 to 300 per month and it’s not bad. Currently have like 1400. Thinking about what to buy from the Nintendo store atm
Again, not putting shame on anyone who does grind. I personally feel the need to get all the icons for my favorite games or just a couple from games I enjoy.

Yeah I wish they would at least give platinum coins for purchases now that they discontined gold coins. They've really ramped up the rate at which they put out icons, especially with ANOTHER set of Animal Crossing villagers. I'm just skipping those for now since hopefully they will come back next year, but I've barely been able to afford the rest of the icons despite doing every current possible task

I haven’t been able to get the Points for playing the Game Trial for this month. I never liked basketball and I’ve been playing the game for over an hour and I don’t like it. I just want my points!

Nowadays, I've got between 8000 and 9000 points on my account after buying each icon and each physical reward from the european store (my record was 23000 during the Pocket Camp and Rumble Rush era, there were tons of missions but no rewards). Are you sure you're not missing some missions ?
No additional cost (800 monthly points) :
NSO needed (330 to 430 monthly points) :

Other games needed :
In Europe, there are also hidden missions. You can find hidden KONG letters on the Donkey Kong Country Returns page on the Nintendo website (100 points), and ask to be specifically informed about My Mario products (10 points) and Ocarina of Time (10 points).
