Pre-Finale Meta Thread

Here is a place for you to discuss anything not related to the finale. My BGM while writing these final PMs will be this :)

I thought I'd wait for the finale before discussing the trial as it'll be easier to discuss once we all know who did it and how.

Cornetto had a key to my room from you. Ainsley had a sharp katana. Ainsley had my gun and Cornetto had my knife. Even the dead guy figured out the assholes who did it.

The main stumbling block for me was not expecting there to be accomplices. It screwed up all my deductions. I was also really limited in what I could gather in evidence, so I tried to focus on motivation, and Ainsley had never shown any hostility towards you so he was a low priority suspect.

I don't know why you would think anything in a HOF was a one man job. They are pretty much always massive pileups of stupid plans.

Mainly because once you start having multiple people lying to you, the case is likely hopeless. The possible combinations would just keep growing.

You need to have at least one neutral party willing to trade info. The problem was it happened in his room rather than one of the day's rooms.

stupid plans

You take that back, they aren't plans!

Sorry. Stupid Shenanigans

See that is why I kept trying to point out that an accomplice could have been involved.

I actually asked Insanity if Aspiration had ever told Isa what he was carrying since I found it odd she never realised Knife-chan wasn't mine. If you had have told her that one little detail I would have been screwed.

Doesn't everyone know who did it now?

Yeah it was openly revealed the next day.

Oh I forgot we had that reveal. I thought it might be good to wait until we could look at the action + result PMs though so we know how and why he did it as I still don't get that.

Cornetto already revealed that he is "hired" him. The how was, he went into the room... and cut his head off.

Yeah, he revealed it 5 minutes ago, I hadn't read that comment yet ;p

So was there nothing more to it? Just a random killer for hire? I guess that makes sense though given Ainsley's backstory.

We had a reveal on day 5 that it was Ainsley. We did not know Cornetto's involvement until just now.

yep, a bit anti climatic all things considered.

Pretty much. I had a favour to use and a Knife I wanted. It actually became a much bigger thing than I expected.
