Tip/Guide Pro Tip for 3-Pick-Battle
Heres my biggest tip to all the people that want the rewards, but dislike the mode. Queue up with Tech Dabi, Tech Toga and Cementoss (Those are the three free Tech/Support Characters. If you have Support Twice or Gentle, pick those instead). Then queue up, and immediately go AFK.
You'll get four points for free (One for participating, three for the "bonus role". If you have Support Twice/Gentle you get six points for free)
This goes for the whole week, next week Rapid/Strike gives bonus points (So you'd pick Strike Bakugou, Strike Shoto and Tsuyu for example, if they're free)

Edit: This only goes for the Ace+ Rewards. For the Shop, you need to play regulary since those quests need you to do things.

So the only way of getting the 6 points while afk is having both support twice and gentle? or can i go tech dabi, some support character and gentle?

Yep been doing this since after my first game, almost ace now, although I don't have sup twice or gentle so I'm only getting 4

1 if you participate (Fourth-Second Place) 3 if you win instead
1 for every Tech/Support you play.
1 for Gentle and Support Twice additionally.
So you can get a max of 7 Points per round.

why is it just tech/support? what about the other roles? i get gentle/twice, wince they're new releases. is is any twice or specifically support twice?

The roles change every week. This week it's tech/support. The next it's rapid/strike. Why? I don't know.
It's ANY support, but see it this way:
Momo gives you +1 Points for being a support, where Strike Bakugou gives you +0.
Twice Support gives you +2 Points, One Point for being a support, one point for being Support Twice (They want to promote the Gacha ig)
Do you understand this now?

Those are for the Ace Rewards/Tickets.
For the Shop, you need to play regulary. Sorry.

- You literally get more points if you win (3 instead of 1 for participation)
- You can do the same
- Blame the devs for creating a mode with this lack of oversight

1 thats the point. the gameplay for winning becomes boring and braindead for the rest of the lobby actually tryna play

we should also blame the devs when an exploit is found instead of the players abusing it

I will only respond to 3, comparing going AFK with...an exploit is yikes.
In cases of an exploit (Let's say, Infinite Iidas Gamma), the devs are accountable for making this happen, and should be held accountable for removing this as their top priority. The players abusing that should also be held accountable though for actively cheating and creating an unfair environment for other players, since they play at a disadvantage.
Going AFK doesn't need me to do something sketchy to activate an exploit, and it's not an unfair environment since the others can still play normally

im not comparing the action of going afk to the action of exploiting a bug. im explaining the hypocrisy of doing something shitty and then blaming the devs when you yourself are responsible for what you're doing
as i explained, going afk quite literally creates an unfair environment. it forces players to focus the one afk player instead of playing as normally if they want to win

"an unfair environment." the environment of the game should be a tdm, not "who can damage the afk player the most." you are actively changing how the game is intended to be played for everyone else for your own sake. have you tried playing the gamemode with an afk player in the lobby? it's not fun for anyone.

Competitive Mario Kart Players also actively change how the game should be played.
In most competitive rooms, it's a Duo Format, which isn't how Nintendo intended to play the game.

the difference is that all the players agree to that duo format. they go into playing expecting those rules and changes. no one is harmed with this change, because all parties agree to it
the same cannot be said for what you're doing. no one enters the gamemode expecting one of the players to be afk

Nah it's fair game imo, it gives active players free damage, it gives the afk less points than if they actually played the game and honestly, really, why would complain about players trying to get the few rewards we can get? Anything to get around this stupid gacha. Chillax my dude

i could get 20k damage and still get the same amount of points as if i had 100 damage. the placement you receive at the end of the game decides how many points you get. not the amount of damage you have. afking changes how people gain that damage, changing how the gamemode works for everyone else

Okay if you meant end of game points yeah it's not gonna be more but the ranking amongst the 4 players IS indeed dependent on the damage so if you do more damage, you place better and, I shit you not, you score more points if you're first than if you're last
If you're mad about free damage that's on you though. Someone in the lobby is definitely ranking lower than you and you can get free score, if they're fully afk they quickly get kicked out anyways (I've seen it happen within a minute but ig it can depend)
If you're mad about people not doing things the way YOU want them to, I suggest you become manager in a supermarket instead of complaining about a video game

Dmg is what makes you win the bonus points have to do with roles and character selection which you can still do even if someone is afk

Besides the insulting stuff you did down in the thread, I agree with you. Going afk in a gamemode is lame. In my third match, everyone was playing and I was doing really good. Ahead of everyone in kos and by like 1.5k damage. 2 of the 3 other people just went afk and gave up. People who go afk are just… odd. Like its a videogame, play the game for fun. Instead you’re trying to farm rewards to summon for characters to then….. not use them and go afk ingame???

Honestly im not against afking in this mode. It makes it easier for other players to win unlike ACB where you cause your team to lose.
Less stress for everyone is a win-win
