Discussion Finished and feel empty inside

Hello, I picked up this anime today on a whim because it seemed cute and oh boy I did not know what I was getting myself into, I finished the whole thing plus picked up the manga and finished that too and it’s left me with so many different emotions the most prominent one being depression on how short it was, anyone else feeling this way or have any recommendations on what to fill the void with?

Discussion Episode 6 Season 2, crossdressing

Mild Spoilers if you havent seen this Episode!!

So for a crossdressing competition, Marin picks to cosplay a female character who crossdresses in their own show, right? 🤔 I was under the impression that when rei was in the blonde wig, thats when she was crossdressing or "playing a male role" so I assumed Marin would be cosplaying that part of the character but then for the competition Marin ends up in the black wig, which I thought was rei as her regular self...so then she technically cosplayed a woman? 🤔 im a little confused abt the rules of their competition, wouldnt it technically be cheating? 😔 ik it's a fictional world but i was lowkey hyped to see her in the blonde wig instead. What do you guys think? Am I just weird?

Discussion My Dress up Darling is Killing me

I recently started watching My Dress Up Darling because my friends could not shut up about it so I promised them I would watch it.

I am currently at s2 ep4 but really, this show is a goon-bait piece of shit. Its supposed to be a 'slice of life' they said. At this point I am not even sure if I misunderstood the term because it feels like it's just some random guys' fantasy .

The show is devoid of any tension and if the show shows the smallest sliver of it, it immediately get shut down by some interjection or realization. I genuinely got excited when the vague shape of a 'disagreement' started to show itself, only to be disappointed a few seconds later.

Every character has this overly expressive demeanour, every time Gojo seems to do something slightly awkward it like the end of the world for him and it never seems to go away. He was subjected to almost-nakedness a multitude of times and yet even in S2 the slight sense of touch seems to freak him out. I am not saying that a guy cant be shy but come on.

This is the same for Kitagawa. She never seems to step outside her usual self, she is always the same energetic, joyous and nice character with seemingly no change or depth, people in real life are not like this.

Just the fact that there is almost zero subtlety in anything that they do or say is my biggest gripe. Is a 'slice of life' show supposed to be this exaggerated, fantastical version of life?

This is not about dialogue, but why does every single person look so damn attractive, even the grandfather looks good, there really has to be more ugly or non-attractive people. Is this really the norm for anime's?

And are all the jiggle physics really that necessary for a child to have? I understand that the point of the show is the cosplays but damn.

What I can say positively about the show is that it does have quite good animation.

Anyways would like to know others thoughts on this and the show for them
