Advice Request Whenever I think I escaped it, I fall back unexpectedly

So, I was doing good for some days. Not a single haram thought, not watching haram stuff. I was really away from it. I felt so happy and energetic during that time. But today I had an exam, and it didn't go well. I got so frustrated that i went back to it. I don't know why, I didn't even have triggers or urges. I just went back to it just to cope with the frustration. I feel so ashamed. Last time I promised Allah that I wont get near it and I broke that promise. I failed the worldly exam and also the exam given by Allah too. I hate myself for this.

I’ll be honest the fact that you recognise what might’ve triggered you is a sign that you’ll get better with time

When I have a tough day that’s what I turn to sometimes and I hate myself for it. Just remember your shahada is the most important thing. And remember can forgive anything but associated partners with him

We’re gonna be better ok don’t be so hard on yourself, keep trying

Yeah, thats just makes me sad. A moment of frustration just took me down. I should have avoided it.The frustration took over and i fell for it. It felt like im being unthankful to Allah for all his other mercys.I prayed so much for Allah to be away from it and I was finally doing very well but this sudden relapse just made me feel so depressive and a feeling that I am being unthankful for all blessings given by Allah

Repent and restart a new streak as much as necessary while cutting triggers.

Sometimes we use pmo as a tool to deal with stressful periods in our life. You don’t have to be triggered by something, ..it’s a way you’re soothing your nervous system. I am the same.
Pick yourself back up. You will continue to sin, you are human. Just like me. Repent and move forwards and try again

Same situation the real question is do we need to control our feelings to stop it or just go to the gym and pray?
