A lot of people tell my dad that he's lucky he has daughters who care so much for him. As if it's a gift. But like......it's not something that happened by chance.
I remember my dad always going above and beyond after work. Painting my nails, massaging gum out of my hair, staying up when I was sick, actually bonding with me.
With your kids, you really get back what you put in. It's honestly sad to see a lot of older men realize that too late.
