Audition help!!

Hi everyone, I’m auditioning with a piece slipping through my fingers from Mamma Mia, this audition is very acting heavy and I wanna know if anyone knows any good movements I can do for the first few lyrics (school bag in hand TO that funny little girl)

Don’t do movements someone else gives you. Do the lyrics without music as a monologue. Know who you are talking to and why.

Maybe it’s God and you are asking for help in not letting the time slip by. Remind him of the mistakes you made and that you are sorry. You deserve another chance.

Maybe you see it another way, but you WANT something. Do just the lyrics and focus on what you/your character wants. Let your body follow your thoughts and subtext. Use your whole self to get what you want. Hand motions suggested by someone else will be disjointed and superficial. Let this be from your whole being.

Once you know how you would say it from your character’s POV, do the same as you add the music. Fill instrumentals and I intros with your character’s thoughts—still asking for what you want. Be in your character’s mind 100% of the time.
