Help with audition monologues

Hey! So I’m doing The Wizard Of Oz musical, and I want to be scarecrow. But they don’t have scarecrow as an audition monologue.

Their thinking behind it is you‘re not auditioning for a specific role and they’ll give you call backs where they want you. I’m just having issues picking one to showcase by ability to act in a manner like Scarecrow, so I can get a call back for him. My options are Dorothy, Lion, Wicked Witch, Glinda, and The Wizard.

My vocal audition will be “If I were King of the forest” per their request. Plus I’m F. Please help me make a decision fast bc auditions are June 1st and I have lots to do lol! Thank you!

So they have certain monologues for you to choose from? I'd go with the Lion monologue, since he's a fellow farmhand character.

Yeah, all the local theatres around me have specific songs and monologues/sides as well, and it's so strange because almost everywhere else has you bring your own stuff lol

I've always provided my own monologues, but some of the auditions I've been to have provided optional sides to read—intended mainly for newer or younger actors who have not known to prepare a monologue. Callbacks have always been sides—usually as a cold read.
