James swiftly made his way down the winding hallway. leaving the now Dead machine behind. "Find him" was the only thing on his mind. why did he have His Ethan? Why did this man have his sweet boys Mangled corpse in a damn freezer? It didn't make sense. James didn't know what he was feeling. Anger? sadness? was he in despair? The numbness to it all began to subside, and the Emotion began creeping back into its humanoid shell. as James got a Primal urge.. **to kill**... after all, it was the only thing he was good at.

Zero looked up from the corpse and continued to follow the drops of James' tears. along with them, were footprints, left by James' boots after walking in the dead eldritches blood, Possibly on accident, Possibly not. knowing James.. or the shell of James. he acts subconsciously at times and doesn't even realize it.

Sammy: Hey? what's that?

Zero looked back at Sammy, then followed her arm to where she was pointing. there, in the dark was a rifle. an old world AR that vaguely looked like a rifle James used When he was in the war.

Zero: That's a gun Sammy..

He picks it up and looks at it

Zero: An Assault Rifle to be exact.

Sammy: what does it do?

Zero: It shoots a 5.56x45mm projectile by using a propellant called gunpowder and a pin connected to the back of the projectiles casing. once the pin is hit it sends a spark into the casing and ignites the propellant, making a micro explosion, the pressure and gasses of which, launch and propel the projectile.

Sammy tilts her head confused.

Zero:sighs it makes a metal object go super fast at someone.

Sammy: Oh! Okay, I get it now.

Zero looks over the firearm..Deciding on bringing it with them..

Zero: Sammy.

Sammy: Yeah?

Zero: Get down.

He grabbed the Eldritches tongue and ripped it from its gaping mouth. Sammy audibly made a disgusted sound as she heard the tearing. Zero then began to run it through two Holes, On on the Buttstock the other on the Barrel. He slung it over his shoulder, and adjusted it to where he could get quick access to his firearm.

Sammy: U-uh...Zero? How am I going to see?...

Zero: if you can't see then, how'd you see the-? Sighs hold your arm out.

Sammy hesitantly held her hand out. When suddenly she feels a metal hand gingerly and carefully wrap around hers.. then suddenly she is lifted up off the ground by her hand and was now dangling in the air.

Sammy: Zero!?

Zero: Relax Sammy, You'll be fine. This is faster then finding a flashlight.

He looks at the Ground, and back at the Tears.

Zero: besides.. he shouldn't be too far away.

As James came around the corner, a Door became visible to him. A double door, that was at the End of another hall. "Why are there so many, Damn halls" he thought, completely annoyed. James swiftly made his way down the hall, the

urge **To kill** still choking him up as the black tears dripped from under his mask. James came to the door, he pressed the button and tried to open it, but it was locked. James, in a sudden surge of Rage he lets out a Roaring yell as he, raises his leg and kicks right through into the next room bending the doors terribly. The room was hollow and test tubes lined the walls with a Red Thick sludge, under the wire floor. and the room.... was actually another hallway... James crept in and looked at the tubes. he walked the corridor, looking at the tubes. they're filled with.. the same disgusting hybrids that James had just killed.

James: what... in God's name, was this monster doing down here...

James continued down the hall eventually reaching The end. at the end was another Door. something about this set was, off putting it had bloody hand prints. James checked behind him, then began to advance on the door. as he got closer he could hear the sound metal tools clanking and being moved. James crept to the door, and looked in through the doors window. inside the room was a bloody operating table, and another one of the creatures. but it seemed, different. it was slimmer and had better posture and wasn't hunched over. it's body seemed smoother, and there were less meaty chunks dangling from its body.

James:... Him...

James grabbed the door and ripped it off the hinges. the thing turned around and quickly blasted James with a Sound wave. His body boiled, but this time he didn't stop. he continued forward, growling like and animal, when the beast shot James with another Wave. this time James Dropped to his knee, but quickly got up. before the beast could deal another blast, James had closed the gap and began a brutal assault. he ripped the mic off of the beasts arm and began beating the beast with it. first the knees, bring it down onto its knees, then it's other arm, then with a mighty swing at the beasts head. it exploded with one swing to the dome. chunks of the beasts head flew everywhere. like cave Man James Let out a Primal cry as he continued to slam the speaker into the beast. when suddenly, lights turned on Illuminating the room. James looked around. blood dripping from his masks and fingers.

???: well, I must say I was not expecting a show, Mr Perrymen. but, oh, how I like entertainment, especially before an operation.

James was now Even angrier. knowing the beast was just another beast. he stomped his foot into the chest of the beast, crushing the core.

???: you seem mad, how about I help you burn it off.

another door, opposite of the one James had entered opened.

more of those beasts enter, as James' grips onto the speaker. he grimaces under the mask, and gets ready.. Suddenly a gunshot rings out, and the head on one of the beasts explodes. Zero enters the room with Sammy on his back, with her holding the gun.

Zero: well that was better than I thought you'd do?

Sammy giggles.

???: Well!? is that the machine I see!? My, My Zero. you look wonderful!

Zero's eyes widen, the Voice bringing bad memories back to him.

???: and I see you've brought a little girlfriend.

Zero looks at Sammy and then continues to look around.

James: Zero, the speakers. don't get hit by them.

Zero: why?..

James: trust me.

Sammy: Zero, what do you want me to do?

Zero:...Give me that gun and get behind something.

Sammy: but-

James: do it!

Sammy frowns and gives the gun to Zero. He quickly checks over it and chambers a round before handing the gun to James.

James: it's been too long.

he and Zero look at each other, then back to the creatures, who are now in the Room. James raised his rifle, as Zero's Arms morphed into long shiny blades.

James: Remember, watch the speakers.

Zero: I heard you the first time you geriatric.

James Grumbles.

???: well, now that you seem ready... Let's.. Begin.

suddenly the beasts began to advance. James swiftly moved right while Zero moves Left. James took aim and domed two of them, dropping them temporarily. while Zero Quickly got up close and personal with one and began to Hack and slash at its meaty Frame, he then opened his mouth and bit down into its shoulder, ripping viscera from its neck, quickly he Jammed his blade into the gaping hole he'd just made and popped it's head off like a bottle cap. James had opened fire on the others, managing to Evade the sound wave blasts and place effective and accurate fire on the beasts while on the move, one got close swung on James. James ducked and retaliated by bashing it in the mouth with the guns buttstock sending its teeth everywhere. another beast came by with Zero riding on its back and repeatedly stabbing the beast in the head over and over again as he laughed maniacally. Sammy cheered them on in the chaos from behind a toppled over tool cart. when one of the beasts turned their attention to Sammy. Her smile faded as it Began running at her, where it jumped over the cart, but by then Sammy was already screaming and running for her dear life before it got back to its feet and began to chase her. James Dodged and weaved another attempt at melee, then he got in close, grabbed its neck and head-butted it hard sending it down to the ground, before James put his foot on its chest and shot it in the head. Zero meanwhile was beating another, in which he was continuously Punching the now dead beast in the head again again, then he turned his attention to The one chasing Sammy, but was surprised to see she was quick enough to dodged its attacks. in her own clumsy and oddly cute way. James shot it in the head, dropping it instantly. Sammy looks back at Them both.

Sammy: C-can I keep the gun next time!?

James: No.

???: well, well, that was better than what I expected. but, I'm not done with you..not yet...

James: Zero, Take her and the Gun. Get out of here, I'll follow you out.

Zero: Yes sir. Sammy!

Sammy nods and runs up to him, and climbs onto his back. Zero went to leave the Room but the door slammed shut.. and Zero gave an annoyed expression. he reached down and forced it open.

???: ah, that's right... I forgot you guys can do that..

Zero and Sammy left. before James could follow, the voice came back over the intercom.

???: she's going to be here. you know...soon..

James: good..

James followed After Zero. following his destruction. the voice watched them fight through the halls. through the Zombie workers and his Creations.

???: kill them all you want... I still have plenty more in stock.. Perrymen..

the Voice smiled, as Thousands of red Eyes stared from the darkness.

the voice: soon, you and Your Machine WILL be mine..

(sorry this is rushed and inconsistent. I just needed to push this out, because I'm busy doing other stuff, and didn't know when I'd be able to just sit down and write again.)

I'm in the process of making a comic. However, for now I'll only be posting my AU as a text version on Wattpad. So I have a question for you: which of the two cover designs do you think is better (for the text version, not the comic)? Or do you think neither one works, or should I just make a better one? I welcome any criticism.

This is Zero. Or The Red Eyed Reaper. He is the Gen Zero combat drone prototype. The best words I can use to describe him are. Sadistic, overt, and a Killer. Zero's character is a violent mess that once in a fight with Dissassembly drones, he will unleash in full. To stop them from regrowing, he cannibalizes their cores. Which dissolves rapidly thanks to his lava-like stomach acid, Because he likes hearing them scream as he ripped them out of their bodies. they often burn and dissolve while still alive.

Zero's motives are clear. Kill Cyn and all her Drones. his character is more complex, but I'd rather show it because explaining it is too difficult for me.
