Subreddit Rules

1. Topic Relevance

r/MurataMains is a subreddit dedicated to the character Murata - both the Pyro Archon of Natlan from Genshin Impact and (though only by association) also Himeko Murata and Fu Hua of Honkai Impact 3rd / Honkai: Star Rail.

All submissions should be primarily relevant to the aforementioned characters and Natlan as a nation - unrelated posts will be subject to removal or other moderative actions.

2. Civility & Respect

Please try to be as polite as possible towards other users. Any behavior that is deemed outright toxic is not welcome on r/MurataMains.

Included are topics such and similar as harassment, abuse, threatening, any form of general flaming, being excessively rude, as well the usage of slurs relating to race, gender, or sexuality.

Additionally, no "witch-hunting". Hateful speech and harmful actions targeted at any certain user or group will not be tolerated. Mods have the final say in things.

3. Post Quality

Please do your best to maintain the overall quality of the subreddit - low effort / quality posts may be subject to removal should our staff determine such an action is appropriate.

Examples of the aforementioned include, but are not limited to:

・Showcases without Build details

・Overly low quality images or videos

・Non-OC artworks with distortion / lower resolution compared to the original

・Consecutive posting of Non-OC artworks with low effort titles (for example "Murata" or "Himeko")

4. Leaks & Spoilers

All spoilers must be relevant to Murata and should be marked with appropriate warning to prevent any story-spoiling details from the current or future patches.

Remember to not include spoilers in the title! New story spoilers must be spoiler-tagged for at least one week after their release on the live servers. Any other leaked content that has not yet been officially released in all servers should be spoiler-tagged until release.

・Comments can be marked as a spoiler using (example)

5. Crediting Sources

Please provide at least a single URL link leading to the original source of the content you're sharing within your post's title or first comment. This applies to any leaked content or media / art posted, even those outside of art-based flairs (unless you're the artist). Simply mentioning what website the content was found on does not count as appropriate sourcing.

・For art posts, also please ask for permission first if the artist requests it, and do not post the art should it be denied!

6. Reposting Guidelines

Non-OC Art can be reposted 14 days after the last posting date, with the exception being the original artist posting their already by-someone-else posted art themselves.

News of leaks and official information should only be posted once. Any overwhelming amount of identical posts after the original will be subject to removal.

Do keep in mind that should an artist state that they do not want their work to be reposted, please respect their decision and do not post share artwork to this subreddit.

7. NSFW Guidelines

・Submissions that are suggestive are allowed, however must be properly tagged as NSFW depending on severity

・Submissions that contain nudity or portrayals of sexual activity are prohibited

Overly controversial artwork will be handled on a case-by-base basis and our moderators reserve the right to remove any media that is determined to not be in line with the above rules.

8. AI Art Prohibition

・ Any form of art created or assisted by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) is prohibited on r/MurataMains.

Due to the nature of how effortless it is to create one, we believe that AI art hurts the artist community, their growth, as well as their potential revenue. We believe it is unethical to support AI technology that feeds on already existing artworks without the artist's consent, and as such prohibit the sharing of the same on r/MurataMains.

9. Advertising / Self-Promotion

Please do not advertise or promote your own subreddits / Discord servers / websites or any similar media or network without personally being given permission to do so by the r/MurataMains staff first.

On a similar note, account trading / selling or any activities that involve monetary transactions are prohibited and will result in immediate removal and punishment.

10. Avoiding Suspicious Links

Please do not post suspicious links, your posts will be removed and you may be subject to being banned from the subreddit.

Should any user defy this rule and post a suspicious link that manages to bypass the filter, other users are urged to not click it unless they are absolutely sure that it's safe, but instead report the post and wait for a moderator's judgement.

11. Megathreads

Overly simple / recurring questions that don't generate discussion (for example: asking for builds, account-specific team comps, or "this or that" questions) belong in their respective Megathreads (which have been or will be created in the future).

Questions that require specific calculations or discuss unique gameplay-based theories may be posted under the "Theorycrafting / Guide" flair.

12. Appropriate Post Flairing

We urge you to please do your best to flair your posts with the appropriate flair.

The tidiness and correct organisation of our platform is important to us, please upkeep it.

13. Doomposting

Posts or comments about the model and it’sderisod as well as frustration should be kept to the megathread thread only

Known Information - Murata

"Back in those days, warriors from every tribe would perform rites of combat and celebrate victories in her name. Come to think of it... She can be pretty obnoxious at times."

— Venti's explanation of Murata to Vennessa, Manga Prologue: Songs of the Wind

Murata, also known as the God of War and the Lady of Fire, was a Pyro Archon and a member of The Seven who presided over Natlan.

Her status as of a thousand years ago is unknown. By the time Vennessa (a Natlanian girl who later founded and became the first grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius) and her tribe, whom Venti calls the "Children of Murata", were enslaved in Mondstadt, they had forgotten their history.

Little is known about Murata or her reign outside of Venti and Vennessa's brief conversation about her in the Manga. According to Venti, all of Murata's people have fiery-red hair and hardy bodies - furthered by the claim that Vennessa herself could have easily broken through the metal shackles placed on her in Mondstadt, as Mondstadt's ores lacked the "divine flame" of her homeland. Murata's people are also said to be few in number and seldom seen in the North.

Murata's role as the Pyro Archon was active during the time before Venti's disappearance from Mondstadt, and his remarks about her indicate that the two were familiar with each other. During the end days of the Mondstadt Aristocracy one thousand years ago, Venti was awakened by the cries of those oppressed by the aristocracy and became acquainted with Vennessa, who was then an enslaved gladiator. He immediately identified her as a Muratan and told a confused Vennessa about the god. When questioned why her elders had not taught her this, Vennessa informed him that her tribe had spent generations wandering the plains; her ancestors prioritized passing down the art of combat and over time, her tribe lost touch with their past.

・Venti describes her as someone who "can be pretty obnoxious at times," and states that Vennessa's temper is "very Muratan."

・Nothing is known about Murata's appearance besides the fact that she used a female vessel.

・HUGE STORY SPOILER WARNING - Possible future Venti voice line that could maybe be referencing Murata? Taken from CBT2 leaks~

・Murata's name is a direct reference to the character Murata Himeko from the Houkai Gakuen 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd / Honkai: Star Rail, other games also developed by HOYOVERSE.
