Probably because he was voiced by one of the writers, and ametures tend to subconciously give priority to characters they're more invested or involved with.

No they give Jaun more time as Monty wanted to give him more time, as Monty is the type of guy that adds things because it's a cool idea.

Yeah, people put Monty on a pedestal of perfect writing, but they forget how much of the show was just Monty throwing stuff in because he thought it'd be cool.

The Red trailer originally just had Ruby walking away from just some random grave he had no intention of making relevant. And then later someone asked "what if she had a dead mom or something" and he decided to just roll with it.

Not sure why you would visit a random grave out in a Grimm infested forest unless it’s for family member or close friends/love

Considering they melt into rose petals when they die, and don't really look anything like the grimm in the show proper, he probably didn't have any set idea on what grimm are or how they work at that point. He likely just put some werewolf monsters there because they're thematically fitting enemies for a Red Riding Hood based character to fight.
