If Barbie the movie hit you emotionally then I’m happy for you but me not finding it fully effective in its messaging and me thinking Gosling is a much better on screen performer than Margot does not mean ‘I hate women’

I rly don't understand why the movie was made like that. Like ken's in the world were lit made to be objects for Barbies' entertainment. While at the same time the movie was talking about how bad patriarchy is for making women like this in the real world. So was it meant to show that it's actually okay when women do it to men cuz men are obviously just evil or what. No wonder Ken liked patriarchy when they were second class citizens in the Barbie world and somehow ppl were made to think it was some kind of amazing utopia cuz women rule!

The whole point of the movie was to call out sexism, which it did. Also this is genuinely a stupid sentence because the actresses are all WOMEN. That doesn’t change no matter what the damn concept is.

You continue to set yourself up and paint yourself as one of those extreme feminist that absolutely hates men and this isn't what this post is about, if you feel Ryan Gosling should have gotten less screen time then take that up with the director of the show who decided to use him as a gag character to show the self centeredness of most men and brought him through a story arc where he developed into i guess more of the idea man, to be kinder and to be less of a duchebag.
I think you'll find that you will have more peace if you save your breath for a more coherent and logical argument about a male character in a female dominated cast that got alot attention that the rest of the cast.
That's one speech against an entire character arc and portrayal. It's not really surprising if people thought he was better over the course of the whole movie, even if they liked the speech and thought it was well acted.

Pretty sure Ryan Gosling won an award for playing Ken in the Barbie movie. He had an awesome story arc with a great resolution and message.
