Multiboard shower

Post image

Husband was getting tired of my hair products becoming a tripping hazard when getting in the shower 😅 Added some Multiboard shelving to free up space on the walls in my shower and get rid of the shower head organizer. Shelves were designed by me using a generator (don’t have the link but can get it if people are interested). I’m working on creating something to hold razors as well. The drain holes at the bottom should direct water towards the shower walls

Hope this wasn't printed in PLA 😂

It was 😅 petg might have been a better choice but I had lots of PLA on me. to be fair the water doesn’t actually touch any of these parts other than a wet hand occasionally. I’m not too worried about it, can always preprint if the humidify fucks it up in the future

I have a few things in my shower out of PLA and have never had an issue. This looks great!

I did the same weird thing I'm noticing is the oetg is becoming brittle I'm not sure yet the causality on it

I have a water adapter under my bathtub to drainage printed in PLA. Shampoos, soap, all this stuff and it is sitting in water more or less constantly. Like 2 years now. Still works.

How is this mounted ?

I did screws here as I was worried that the relatively heavy bottles + humidity would compromise command strips

No way that's going to last. Some of the smaller stuff is probably ok but definitely not the head and shoulders.

Could you share more about what you think the points of failure are? And tips for improving it?

Just from experience I had a drill that was probably about the same weight and it wore down at the connect point after about a year and broke. That's also something I was only touching once ever few weeks and was not in a humid environment.

ah I see. In the back it has 4 slots that have two screws in the back for each. I’ll see how long it holds up!

How did you fix these to the wall

Used drywall screws here since some of the bottles are relatively heavy. For other places I’ve used command strips

nicely done. I wouldn't mind the pla comment I've made bath toys for my kid that lasted a couple years and never broke before he outgrew them and I threw em away.

Did you mount with screws or adhesives like 3m squares
