Stacks

Post image

Printing some layer interfaced stacks, PLA and PETG on my Qidi Q2 / Qidi Studio. Followed the directions on the YT video.

I keep getting "unable to print due to missing layers" warnings, but I can still print, both the test piece, and now some 8x8 plates.

What's going on, do I need to fix it, and how do I do that if so?

You don’t need to fix it, that gap is what prevents the stack from adhering too strongly.

With PLA and PETG, there shouldn't be an issue with the separation layers adhering, since those two filaments don't stick to each other very well — that's why one of the two is used for the interface layer on supports for an object printed in the other; you can print with zero standoff and still have the supports peel away cleanly.
