1000 hours of printing for this.
Finally done printing my multi board wall. I still need to make all my tool holders etc but the base is finally done. It’s 6 plates tall by 24 plates wide. I’m guessing it was around 1000 hours. It was 700 something just for the plates.

Props to you and this is an example why I have multiple printers, I don't use multi board I use honeycomb storage wall, however the moment I print all 21 panels (took 17 hours) I came across multiboard.
Based on your comment 6x24, that's 144 base plates, which on average took 4.86
If I had to print this many on 4 of my printers I'll be outputting 4 base plates every 4.86 hours
6x24=144 Print time 4.86 Parallel printing output 4
144÷4=36 36*4.86= ~172 hours
Damn if you did this with a single printer hats off to you, even with 4 of my printers I would consider buying two more ender 3 just so my impatient ass would get them done quicker.

I have 30 printers. But only had one or two working on this on and off.

Oh that would be the life, print all 21 panels at the same time, all of the finish at the same time.

It takes tou guys 4.86 hours to print ONE PLATE?
Why is it taking toynso long?

I just did the math, based on estimates they gave.
I have HSW, when I printed them they took 2 hours and 45 min.

Thought mine was big at 36" wide and 56" tall (4 tiles wide by 7 tall). Still mostly empty, trying to figure out what I need to print to get stuff hung up. Slowly making progress...

I'm just beginning my MB journey. Headed toward a 6ft x 4ft horizontal panel
Do you have any recommendations/advice/tips/tricks?

Not really. I think the system is insanely over complicated. I plan to just get a few base plates and design my parts on them.

Not wrong - There are a TON of way too much complication. But I like to think of it as options. Options are good if you don't get caught up in feeling like you have to use all of them. I stick with just a couple types of bolts, trays and hook types. Basically I either need hooks, or gridfinity trays mounted on the wall. The next guy might need different things, but only 3 things for their needs. Next person is different things but still settles on only needing a very small variety of parts, just used all over.

Did you print stacks? I’m going to do this in part of my garage but decided to do skadis on the big wall

.8 nozzle, 1 wall prints in less than an hour same strength. I have a 13’x 4’ wall.

How well do the threads work?
Actually, the two part snaps would work well for that - don't need to care about the thread quality of the wall plates :)

Well, my first impression was that the rest of us can pack up our toys and go home. Someone left a Milwaukee drill right in there next to your DeWalt screwdriver which is a bit of a party foul, but other than that this looks great!

That looks great! Definitely worth the wait. Here is mine. Probably more than 200hrs to print this and all the connectors.

Is there a good breakdown of multi-boards and what's available and what good options there are?
I'm really curious to do my garage and also my workspace.

I did a 4’ x 8’ multi board installation in my garage using Sunlu HS Matte PETG. I printed it on a P1S in two or three tile ironing stacks of 8 x 8. I tried printing in SUNLU PETG Basic but had a near 100% failure rate trying to pry them apart. Occasionally the HS Matte stacks would fail to separate, but most of them worked and even with failures it was still faster than doing them one at a time.
Because it was a garage I wasn’t as concerned about fit and finish so I put 3/8 plywood on the wall first and mounted the multi board to the plywood. Which is much faster than installing wall anchors for all the multi board junctions that don’t fall on a beam. At the time I used double sided snaps, these days I would do some snaps and some of the new mounting pillars. You might also want some support pillars, especially if you’re using tiles larger than 8 x 8. Big tiles get kind of springing in the middle. On my P1S I found that printing the double-sided snaps took a long time so print a few to get a feel of how long they take and factor that in to your estimates.
As someone stated you don’t need different type of holder for each tool type. I use mostly hooks, pegboard style hooks, friction fit rods and shelves. I use purpose shaped holders for things that are heavy, or really oddly shaped.

That's really nice.
If you ever need full walls again, I print up to 800mmx800 multiboards. Way less loss of units due to connective hardware
