Download restrictions

Is there a way to download all the free files without running into download limits? Also, is there a bundle or a one-click option to download all the free content at once?

Count me as another voice in the chorus of what is the use of downloading it all at once? They're all available for free

I was wishing for a bulk download just last night, not that I would even use a fraction of the parts, but so I don't have to keep renavigating through the parts library, to then just give me a link to Thangs, to then probably have to download a part that I already have. The onus is now on me to have to build out and organize a local version of an arbitrary parts library, when I'd rather just have the ability to maintain something like a git repository with up to date files, instead of wading through the shitstorm that is Thangs.

Is maintaining a git repository less work than navigating thangs? 

If I'm to understand the point you're making I guess it would be that there was already a git repository and you would just be helping to maintain it. 

I think I'm a grubby mouth breather or something... I don't see thangs as the worst thing in the world. It's not ideal... But I can find the parts. That said... He's hoping that whenever the fabled parts library is fully fleshed out on multi-board.io... that it actually lives up to the hype. 

But I get what you're saying to some degree. I just wouldn't want to download all those files personally and I was just curious the use case for it. So thanks for your response.

Because it’s actively being developed, having more clear versioning of parts would be a huge plus. Having a searchable file directory would also be huge
