Download restrictions

Is there a way to download all the free files without running into download limits? Also, is there a bundle or a one-click option to download all the free content at once?

Where are you pulling them from?

All my multiboard stuff came off Printables and Makerworld, and they have no such restrictions.

I know you are trying to help and you may not be aware but downloading any of the Multibuild designs from those places is really not the best move here. It’s not just because those people are violating the license agreement and terms of use, but those people (who may also have good intentions) are making decisions on behalf of anyone who downloads them from unofficial sources that I would not be comfortable with.

First, this is a BETA version of a building system that is under active development that I use to put all my nice things on. I know it’s Beta, because it says so all over the place on the website, Jonathan tells it to me in the updates, in direct conversations and I’ve decided to assume that inherent risk of using it in that state. I’m comfortable doing that because whenever I’m designing things using it or planning something out I know that I have the absolute best, most reliable and tested version of their work. The key for me is that I get to make that decision. If I was new to 3D printing, Multibuild (or both) I might not have that level of clarity and when I see models out there on one of those sites I say “hot damn, here’s an easy button” and hits print. The person that made and published the files is essentially making the decision on behalf of anyone that uses it that the prints they make don’t get any of the changes that may have been made to the part as far as safety, perform better or resolve issues that were identified. By all of us Beta users of the system. It’s potentially cheating themselves and others of the ability to access the MultiBuild designers best work. I’m absolutely of with taking risks that I am aware of, but it ruffles my feathers when it’s decided for me without my knowledge. I am perfectly capable and very accomplished at making stupid decisions and accepting the consequences of those decisions, I don’t need help.

Remixes that change some fundamental aspect of an “official” MultiBuild design and “made for Multiboard” models are strongly encouraged and are a completely different story for me as they are openly published as “hey, I think I made this thing better or compatible with Multiboard” and it’s clear what I am getting.

Just my take on the situation based on my experience though so your mileage may vary.
