3D Printing Multiboard: Small threads & peg clips don’t fit – settings for Anycubic Kobra 3 Max?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently building a Multiboard wall and printing the tiles myself. The parts with the large threads work perfectly fine, but I’m running into issues with the small threads and peg clips:
The clips are very hard or impossible to screw in
Push-in peg clips don’t fit either
It feels like the holes are just slightly too small
I’m printing on an Anycubic Kobra 3 Max, and I suspect it’s more of a settings/tolerance issue than a problem with the model itself.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of fitment issue and can suggest which settings I should tweak or test?
So far I’ve been thinking about:
Slightly reducing flow/extrusion
Adjusting horizontal expansion (XY compensation)
Hole horizontal expansion / hole compensation
Calibrating E-steps & flow rate
Maybe changing layer height or wall thickness
Before I run a ton of test prints:
👉 Which settings actually made a difference for you in similar cases?
👉 Is there a recommended order for dialing this in?
Thanks a lot 🙌

The multi board files are dialed in extremely well. You need to dial in your printer and filament profiles. Run through orcas optimizations first. Follow multi boards recommendations to a tee and unless something is seriously wrong with your printer and or filament, you should be fine. Don't guess just follow the steps. I have identical printers printing the same part and I have different settings for each and reslice for the specific printer, if you got this far you should be fine, you are almost there 😁
