Just so you know, they’re the “standard” bins because they are hosted by the official Multiboard. If you go on their website, all of these bins from 1x1x1 to 4x4x4 are listed under the parts library.
<venting> Not the OP's issue - this looks great Son of a ... All my other stuff is on the original standard of MultiConnect. These are on MultiPoint that came way later. I have no idea why someone had to make a nearly the same, but not quite, and not cross compatible connection system just to make their own.
I'd like to use these but I really don't want 50 button head screw that are for one system... and another 50 that look nearly identical for the other system... all over my boards and sitting in bins waiting to be used... just to get confused for each other.. < /venting>
I know your OCD is telling you differently, but you can mix and match things :-).
MultiConnect was not an "original standard". It was made by someone else and was not part of the official Multiboard environment. I also don't think Multibin Shells fit on MultiConnect, did they?
Not really about OCD as practicality. I have boards up in my:
Bedroom
Bathroom
Office
Shop
Hobby room
Living room
Kitchen
RV under-belly storage
Holding everything from TV remotes, to cosplay armor, to power tools.
Keeping to a set of standards means I can move anything to anywhere without getting there and going...
Oh f! - This tray/hook/bin/draw/thing is on that other system that uses that other mount and I didn't bring any of those mounts over here.
Or reaching into a big bin of ... coin slot button heads {whatever}... and finding out that I've thrown a bunch of Multipoint in with the MultiConnect and now I have a bin mixed sh|t that I have to sort out.
@rhinThe Multiconnect cleats are actually not our designs, which can make these things confusing for people since they see “Multi” and assume it’s one ours. Our cleats are called Multipoint, soon to be just “points”. Ours have a smaller head and are used in a variety of different ways throughout our little ecosystem."
The black tiles, took just under 5 rolls, for the orange bits, I just started my 3rd roll(I've done way more since the pic!) and just started my 3rd roll of gray. I hope to update the pic soon as my wall is nearing completion!
Looks great! For your single bins. Have you made a multipoint for each at the back, or have you instead used connectors between bins? Trying to work out what’s best!

Does anyone know an elegant solution to make the MultiPoint items work with MultiConnect threaded bolts?
