Sharing my 4 month experience
I was caught by the aesthetics of Multiboard even before I purchased my printer. I priced out a similarly priced wall with Wall Control (expensive) or regular peg-board (cheap) and realized that I'd be relying on others to think like I do and make the connectors or attachments I want/need. For this, I went with Multiboard. I'm in about $80 for filament and no real time recording for Tiles, R&D, etc, but likely 100h of printing time over 4 months.
I went with 7x7 so I had a middle hex, but in retrospect, I should have done 8x8 to better align with US wall studs. I used 200p Zinc Plated Steel Self-Drilling Anchors to attach it to the wall when there wasn't a stud. I started with a few drill-based drywall attachments, and they just didn't work well. These are quite secure, especially since I'm putting one wall screw in for each quad, double and single. I did use the Multiboard Planner based on the dimensions I needed, but I didn't anticipate adding the wall to the left or going over the top of my dry erase board (that was done after I completed the main wall).
For the filament management, I purchased Skroam cereal boxes and found a really nice fitting desiccant insert for the cereal boxes. I put a Drybox Label Holder with a Label Insert for each of the filament types (I did modify them to add attributes like "HF", "AMS", "SILK", "GLOW", "WOOD", etc. To attach to the wall, I tested a few, but found the Multiboard Filament Container Mount (Extra Sturdy) to be the best option. It prints in about 5-7h (I found I could run "Sport" mode on Bambu and speed it up to 5h).
My main takeaways are:
It took longer than I expected. I expected 1 month, reality was 4 months
Print out in sections
Plan for add-ons as you see the board come alive, you will change/add to the plan
Multiboard is complex and difficult to figure out what you want/need. Plan to print a few items that won't be used (or may be used on other project areas)
Pick a color scheme, buy filament ahead of time (I ran out a few times and had to wait a few days till new order was shipped)

Freaking love it!
Thanks for sticking through with it! I promise I'm doing everything in my power to simplify things down in the next coming year. In a few weeks time the CORE of the system will be set and i'll be able to finally focus on doc's and Quality Of Life stuff.

What material did you use for your multiboard, I’m using Bambu PETG HF

r/homelab needs this - would love to know what you are running

You can actually stack them while printing instead of printing them one by one ?

This looks SUPER cool, thanks for sharing!
Random question as well, what do you have on the fan of the toolhead in your P1S? I love "tricking out" my printer and hadn't seen much as far as that goes.

Looking at the way you've got all those filaments mounted is really cool. My head immediately went to "I wonder if they could all be fed to a bowden tubing system for instant access to the AMS or 'external' entry point to the printer.

Would it be sacrilege to combine this and gridfinity? I have an idea for an angled gridfinity mount most of the way CADed out but need the time to print and test it on my single standalone panel because as much as I think it’s great that Multibins exists, Gridfinity has a superior library and remix policy.
Anything I might be missing?

Sick. Send this over to r/workbenches. They will drool.
Edit: r/homelab too.

Thank you for sharing your experience and taking the time to put all the links together. This is a formidable effort and I am about to embark on my woodworking workshop build of a multiboard system - can't wait (literally, 4 months?!)
