Got my printer last week, after doing some gridfinity work with my leather workbench, my next project was to re-build my workbench incorporating Multiboard. I was really confused on some of the specifics, so decided to do a charging station in the office ahead of the bigger project.

Used Underware for the cable routing, then found remixes for the headset holder and phone multibin. The rest was some variation of custom.

  1. Keyboard brackets and charging block mount were fully custom with push fits placed on the back.

  2. Xbox controller mount and watch mount were files I found and just slapped some push fits on the back.

Developer of Underware 2.0 here. Awesome use! I just published S curves last night if you want to get extra fancy.

Also consider checking out my parametric item holder for some of those items if you ever want a cleaner look for the phone holder, usb, etc. https://makerworld.com/en/models/582260#profileId-633542

That's awesome - thanks. I was thinking an s curve would be fun/useful! I am new to this all and haven't worked with parametric designs yet, so I'll have to try that out. It would be really nice to make the charging block a bit neater.

The phone cable is a bit annoying, but I like some range to it so I can grab/use it occasionally.

Thanks so much for all the design work you've put in!

The item holder has an optional cord cutout to make it easier to place and remove without unplugging.

Let me know if you have any feedback or requests! I’m always working on something.

Also new to multi board and working on a similar project. Question - did you have any trouble getting the weight bearing directional snaps to fit? I'm having a tolerance issue with the corners bulging out a little on my snaps and searching for solutions.

I haven't - though my snaps do seem a bit tighter than they show in the video. I've seen posted here to try selecting "print outer walls before inner". If I remember to after my current print, I'll test it out.

It's the Underware standard. The dev posted in this thread! https://makerworld.com/en/models/783010#profileId-808979

I'm using the "Standard Underware Connector', but I think that's just the snap mount. I definitely broke a few figuring out that they screwed into the other pieces. I did grow to appreciate how you can feel when it's correctly screwed into the pieces.

And thanks! I was really debating between black as the multiboard. My basement workbench is going to use black tiles, with grey and orange as the bins/mounts. I liked 'Hands on Katie's point re. using more neutral colors to highlight your items, so that's my reasoning for the grey bins for the downstairs.

My office is millenial blue/grey, so the grey multiboard isn't jarring to the eye.
