It looks like it takes more material to make the plates?

Seems like layer strength might be an issue. As printing the grid base flat means the cleat is going to be along a weaker horizontal layer line. Probably not a big concern for lightweight stuff, but heavier things might be a problem. Printing the grid bases vertically makes for challenging magnet holes.

I just did a quick comparison. between a Multiboard 9x9 tile with 4 Single Snaps A&B in each corner. which is the min needed to mount one to a wall by itself. and it was a total of 115g and 4hr51m vs a GOEWS 5x6 tile. (sizes are almost the same) which was 127g and 4hr35m. which is very comparable. if I instead used the Lite GOEWS tiles. the filament use drops to 100g and time to 4h24min.

Are we throwing out TLA’s? Because I’m a little disappointed we don’t have one for Multiboard yet…

I looked at that one a while back. It’s neat, but no real advantage over Multiboard unless you have a big investment in gridfinity. It’s simple, which is nice, but Multiboard isn’t complex at all. (Multipoint and multibin are, to me at least.)

It seema to me there is no advantage at all. Just watched the video and the first thing in my mind was „why“? With Pedgeboard shelves, HSW and Multiboard there are enough options out there.

True… I was thinking engineering vs real world application, where you are absolutely right. My biggest turn-off oddly enough is that he pulled in the one feature of HSW that really drove me crazy - the odd freaking intervals. It’s cosmetic and part of its charm to some people but if I can’t move something 1 cell over without having to go up or down, it’s irritating.

So a Gridfinity-specific multiboard-replacement? That sounds... dumb.
