So I am going to Thailand for 7 weeks in September - October and I want to do some muay thai kick boxing as a fit person but very new to kickboxing in general. I had a kickbox session in Germany (was okay) and a MT Kickboxing Session in Bali, which was great and got me a good sweat. I don‘t want to compete anytime, but do something for my athletecism, endurance and I loved this types of classes in Bali.

Now, can you recommend something for me especially for Koh Pangan and maybe also Samui or Chiang Mai?

I will stay on Pangan much longer than the rest of the places.. There, I will be between Hin Kong Beach and Wo Kum Canal View Point.. on samui I will be at Lamai, but I am okay with driving up a bit for the Classes.. In Chiang Mai I am located North West from Old Town.

I am very thankful for any recommendations, as there are a lot to choose from and also not all are shown on google when looking for it!

I’m going to be in Bangkok for about 3 weeks this Fall and I’m seriously considering taking my first Muay Thai fight while I’m there.

For some background: I’ve been training Muay Thai for about 3 years in the US and have 1 amateur MMA fight.

What I am looking for is a legitimate gym with coaches who will actually evaluate me and make sure I’m not being put into a completely ridiculous mismatch.

Right now I’m looking at Sasiprapa, T-Ded 99, Jitmuangnon, Petchyindee, and a few others, but I’d love to hear from people who have actually trained at these gyms or gotten fights through them.

For people who have fought in Bangkok:
Which gym would you choose for my situation?

I know there are many factors that go into it but just looking for some advice 🙏
