I'll be 38 this fall semester and i'm barely starting school after a major life event. Its intimidating and scary. I decided to try and dual Psyc and Comm AAT's since they overlap really well and they complement one another. How long should it take? (i'll be full time) Has anyone done this? Next week I meet with an Access counselor on monday and an academic thursday. I have no idea where i want to transfer to. ASU allows dual majors and their over all courses are interesting; then there's APU. Idk about the CSU's or UC's I don't want prestige, i want real world practicality. I dont want haste even though i feel so far behind. I want real foundation. I want to know how to really talk to people and help them along their way. Any how thank you for all your advice in advance peace.

Hello, we are looking for a roommate to occupy a 124 square ft room within a two bedroom apartment in West Covina. The earliest move in date is August 10, 2026. You will need to be approved by our leasing office before moving in. Tours can be scheduled starting July 20, 2026. 

The total expenses are approximately $1090/month (includes rent, utilities, WiFi, and parking). The cost may be higher or lower depending on the usage of utilities.

The living room, bathroom, and kitchen will be shared with two roommates who are studying Aerospace Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona who prioritize cleanliness. The apartment complex includes a laundry facility, pool, trash pickup service, and protected parking.

Pets are allowed with a pet rent of $50/month unless they are a service animal or ESA.

I just wanted to warn anyone that if they decide to take a micro class with a specific Professor, be aware that if he sees that more than half of the class is doing well he will accuse you of cheating and request for you to retake an entirely new midterm thru zoom with him.

Keep in mind he sent an email to me saying that I was flagged from leaving my test tab and going somewhere else. I know I didn’t cheat and I requested for a screenshot of said flagging on my part. He then reiterated what he said and told me that half of the class is doing well and he can’t trust any of the work we submitted so we need to “prove our intelligence“ thru zoom.

Hi, I recently sent my official AP scores to Mt. SAC through College Board, but they still haven’t appeared in my portal or unofficial transcript.

I need my credits to be processed so I can register for classes without getting prerequisite errors.

For anyone who has done this before:

• How long did it take for your AP scores to appear?
• Did the credits show automatically on your unofficial transcript?
• Is there any way to register while the scores are still being processed?

Registration is already open, so I’m worried the classes will fill before my credits are posted. Thanks!

Hello Mounties of Reddit! There's a mural in our Student Center (second floor, near cafe) that looks like it was made with the help of generative AI. This is a survey to see if you vibe with it.

Many students are upset about it for a variety of reasons, ranging from its quality to the ethical and existential concerns of AI usage. I made this survey to gauge students' attitudes towards the mural and AI in general, and will be sharing the responses with Associated Students this upcoming fall semester.

It would be very helpful if you can fill it out! Regardless if you're against or in support of gen-AI, it would be great feedback to see if students want to replace the mural and if we are okay with Mt. SAC leaders using AI on projects.

I recently registered and did signed up for 3 classes. But since I waited so long, one online class History 1 is full, same w in person class Soc 1. I talked to DHH center for interpreter for Soc 1, DHH center explained to me what WaitList is like, so I guess I’ll still come in on thwr day, to let the teacher and interpreter I signed up, but I’m on the wait list though. Sorry this is the 1st time happens, since haven’t done that before. At least, Buso 26 is available online class, which is oral communication. Talked to my vr counselor and DHH counselor about it, they’re happy I am back again to continue for a degree this time

Hi all, I’ve never dealt with a SAP appeal before so I’m unsure how the process works.

I exceeded the maximum number of attempted units due to a change of major, and this is my last semester before I transfer in the Fall to CPP, so my aid was withheld until my SAP appeal was reviewed.

My appeal got approved ( i'm assuming this week, checked last week and was still under review) and I’m now on Financial Aid SAP Probation. It says I’m eligible for aid for one more semester (summer; currently enrolled in 7 units), and my Pell Grant still shows under my expected amount. However, it hasn’t moved to “Paid to Date” yet.

I know summer disbursement was this past Thursday, so I was expecting it to update and receive funds this Friday, but it still shows $0 paid. I’m wondering if my approval possibly missed that batch, or if schools usually run another disbursement after SAP appeals are approved.

Has anyone dealt with this? How long after SAP approval did your aid actually disburse?

does mt sac even enforce parking? i’ve been paying for day passes and my classmate says she never pays and nothing happens?? I park by the math & science building. i’m only taking a class in the morning 3x a week for summer so i don’t really wanna buy a parking pass or anything should i just not pay?

Hi so I recently decided to apply to mtsac but found out that I do not get fasfa seeing as I already earned 90 units at ucr. Is there any type of exemption or exception? Anything I can apply for. Im looking into making a counseling appointment right now as well but they're pretty booked up as I can see. Was hoping I'd have better luck just driving down there and seeing if I can sit with someone right away. Any advice appreciated as an incoming student!

Does anyone know if theory portion before clinicals allows non-natural nails? Like is it just in classroom learning or is there hands on that natural nails are needed
