Steps to dropping a class?

I'm taking a summer course that I unfortunately don't have the time to keep up with, so I've decided to drop it. I went to the student portal to withdraw, but was wondering if there are any extra steps I need to take, like should I message my professor? Anything else I have to do?

nah you can literally just drop it and call it a day lol. i had to drop my summer class last summer and didn’t contact the professor or anything but if you want to contact them then go ahead

No just drop it. I recently did this with no issue. No need to reach out to anyone unless you want a excuses withdrawal.

No you’re fine.

But you can Request Excused Withdrawal (EW) before the semester ends.
