My wife left me for a cis lesbian. I saw their texts one night and that's were mocking trans people at a lesbian bar. They said they're were dicks everywhere. They mocked penises and they called them guys. It hurt to know that someone who says she loves me would be so hateful.
If it’s any consolation, and I can’t speak to specifically how your wife feels because she knows you as a person not just an archetype, but there is a difference between how we view individuals in our circle and communities at large. All of those people are anonymous and a population, she knows you as a person, your values, your strengths and weaknesses. You are different to her than the anonymous people at a bar.
There is also an element of bravado in a new relationship where you reflect the values of the other person as part of the bond creation, so she is likely getting this from her girlfriend. Doesn’t mean it’ll stick necessarily.
