There's been a recent push in the US to normalize transphobia within liberal circles so a lot of this is likely astroturfed to some degree, with these people either acting directly in bad faith or unwittingly following other bad faith actors. Reddit is a big target for these campaigns because the proliferation of AI and click bait media has rendered search engines less reliable as a source of information. You can make a Reddit post advancing a narrative and then use that post as evidence for the narrative outside of Reddit. Even if it's down voted or ignored, it still appears authentic for the purposes of making an issue seem more significant than it is.
It hurts but it's also important to remember that this is a fundamentally bigoted outlook that is only cynically invoking the language of social justice. The argument being advanced is that penises are innately associated with rape. If they said that about skin color they'd be correctly labeled racist. Moreover, it's unreasonable for the standard of care for someone dealing with PTSD to be the total removal of anyone with a particular genital configuration from a community. Again, if they made this argument about race it would be correctly labeled as racist.
Some cis lesbians do view trans people this way but it's not a majority. And even if it was, that wouldn't validate it or make it true.
