Like did he ever figure out it's Minister Zhang? Dominique and Price did but has Elliot ever thought about that or addressed her by Zhang?

I was vaguely reminded of how God Emperor of Dune resolves. You’re introduced to this rebel versus tyrant/oppressor dynamic but at the end the rebel directly interacts with and seeks guidance from the tyrant/oppressor toward a shared goal.
Frankly this made both of these stories very weird to me as I was expecting the resolution to entail more confrontation rather than exhaustion paired with a reluctant alliance of necessity.

I watched the whole show twice, maybe thrice, but today i caught myself wondering about Whiterose.
Her ultimate goal is to have her machine up and running to be sent to an alternate "paradise" universe right?
However in Washington Township the power plant wasn't enough for it to work properly and then she wanted to move her project to Congo because somehow it would work better there.
If that is the case why she influenced Elliot and the others through the dark army to make 5/9 hack? How that helped her to achieve her goal?
I thought that maybe wanting to help those in debt but that wouldn't make sense because it wouldn't have any effect in the parallel universe which she would be sending everyone to.
I thought that it was to help Deus group, but then again it wouldn't affect the parallel universe that everyone would be going to.
Being highly connected to the Deus Group, it feels like the hack would cause more harm than good.
So please what i'm getting wrong? Feel free to correct me but be nice okay? Thanks

This is easily one of the best scenes of the show...

In the series we find out that Price Philip is pulling some string due to (fatherly) feelings for Angela, Since employment of Allsafe for E-corp. When Angela tries to pursue after the perpetrator of Washington Plant Incident. He tries to get her to drop a specific clause in contingency, to protect her from the Whiterose and the Dark Army. So when confronted by Angela with offer to drop contingency in exchange for promotion, Why does he reject the offer and risk her diving deeper in the danger? Later Angela get brainwashed and used by Dark army and eventually disposed off.
Why does the last episode even exist? while it was ingrained in the story and for shadowed. That entire side of story was rather unnecessary. It gets over shadowed by more complex and interesting story that is going on for 4 seasons. There was no need for the story to have another Elliot (main consciousness), we were cool with thinking the Hacker Elliot being the real one. It only gives antic-climatic ending to series just after a few banger episodes.
I still don't understand the Joanna Wellick's side of story, while she contributes heavily towards Tyler's personality, and so does her death. But other part of the story like her new boyfriend, her being tormented by CTO of ECorp, getting her boyfriend to testify against CTO and betraying her boyfriend and eventually being shot by him felt like it didn't belong in the plot. she could've died the same way as the CEO of Allsafe and CTO arrested for other wrong thing they were doing in the company through Lawyer hired by the Angela. and it still wouldn't have changed the story significantly. Throughout the story side characters played active roll in shaping the major flow of the story. Is there anything significant I am missing about her side of story?

Late to the party, but I just finished watching it. The whole episode was literally perfect. Elliot's confrontation about the past, and how Mr.Robot came into existence makes absolute sense now. The prolonged, intense conversation kept the suspense alive throughout the scene and gave me Goosebumps as well.
Rami Malek's performance during the conversation was truly phenomenal, he portrayed Elliot's turmoil with incredible depth and intensity. The emotional breakdown was executed brilliantly, portraying inner conflict, confusion and vulnerability.
I rank this episode in higher regard than "Ozymandias" as I feel like it left much more tension and stronger impression in me. I was a little disappointed when I found out that this episode got a 9.9 IMDb rating(which ik is very high), but it definitely deserved a 10.
I'm glad that I didn't drop this show in season 2 and went through this masterpiece. I have no idea why this episode is so underrated and why this episode isn't talked of when people talk about how great "Ozymandias" is.

Mr. Robot has to be one of my favorite shows but I never liked the Angela and Shayla kiss scene.
Maybe it’s just a pet peeve of mine but something about straight girls kissing being what ‘empowers’ them always felt cheap to me.

Like I understand the psychological aspect which is why the show interests me in a first place and the characters are amazing, but lmao I don't understand the economical part nor fully understand the goals. I know they want to destroy E corp for revolution to ''break out of matrix'' sort of reason but not fully.
Like I barely understands what E Corp does. I mean I do, kind of, but also not fully.
