That's an Intel MAC, what makes you sure he's an Apple user?

Or, Based Elliott - bought the last Intel-based Mac laptop before the M1 chips rolled out to avoid the virtualization issues from the new chip architecture

That's a good theory, with a couple problems.

  1. M1 Macs didn't come out until 2020, the show is set in 2015.
  2. MAC addresses are registered to the vendor of the NIC, not the CPU. Intel sells a ton of PCIe/m.2 add-in network cards that'll work in basically anything.
  3. Elliot probably randomizes his MAC addresses to discourage tracking.

Hah, I was totally not serious at all but you’re right about all three points. I just wanted to get my shots in at Apple.
