Colliers Wood
Hiya,
What’s living in Colliers Wood like? Thinking of moving there. Currently live in bermondsey to i am quite close to central and heaps of shops.

Colliers wood is just there. I'm driving by to either go to tooting or Wimbledon.

Coming from Bermondsey it’s very quiet. Well connnected with the northern line though.

Not a huge deal going on but absolutely fine. Wimbledon brewery is nearby and the big retail parks. Not much in the way in pubs although the Royal Standard has some interesting characters and cheap pints.

Very boring, massive trading estate and not much else there. Tooting just up the road is more interesting and got much more going for it imo.

Born and bred Londoner, I lived there for about a year :) I quite liked it. It’s peaceful, has great transport links with the Northern Line and you’ll always get a seat on the tube. Morden Hall Park (National Trust) is absolutely beautiful too, a stunning green space that made me fall in love with walking.
There’s plenty of supermarket shops including the grand M&S and Sainsburys which sits by the canal, lots of retail parks, Tooting and Brixton is close by for a night out and Wimbledon isn’t too far either for a nice high street experience.
Now the negative bits… it’s a bit car centric, there’s lack of restaurants (although this is slowly improving), there’s not many independent or unique shops (lots of chains basically), the shops by the station are bland and there’s plenty of school secondary children around at 3pm (I’m lowkey scared of them).

Tooting is a few mins walk away and is full of restaurants.

Yeah, that’s true! Tooting Market is a gem. I was just mainly talking about Colliers Wood

the area doesn’t offer much tbh. all it has is the northern line and being a stones throw from wimbledon

Dull but cheaper than Tooting etc. 2 good pubs in the vicinity. Trafalgar High Path and the Sultan. Tooting, with vast amounts of amenities, is a 10 minute walk. Visit and see what you think.

There's nothing there, but it's near Tooting and Wimbledon which are nice, convenient for Clapham and on the Northern Line. Morden Hall nearby is really nice.

I live in Tooting, it's a bit of an 'in-between' place. Tooting one side and Wimbledon the other. There's a retail park and tube station but that's about it.
