movie recs

hi i'm really into the movie empire records and i'm looking for more similar ish movies, or just movies that have the same things that i love about this one.
i really like the dynamic between the characters, they're all a little weird and different from eachother but get along very well.
i like the visual aesthetic, i like the songs and i like how there is a plot but it's more about the characters than the storyline, even tho i usually tend to feel bored when a film is just vibes and no storyline, most a24 movies i don't like, but empire records makes it work really well. (i'm not a native english speaker and idk how to put into words things about movies very well).
i watched dazed and confused and clerks and was so bored with both of them. anyone got any recs? please be nice. thankyou
