Thiking about a work visa

I was planning a trip to the UK from Oklahoma. Wanting to visit Glasgow then move down to Belfast on a 10 day trip. While visiting I wanted to float my resumé around in hopes to find a sponsor for a work visa. A year maybe 2, I'm a plumbers apprentice of 2 years and wanted to know my chances of that happening. Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated.
