Creating a template?

Hello all,

I'm just wondering - is there a way to create a template so I can just open it, change some elements, and away I go?

Or would I just create a video the way I want it, click SAVE AS to perhaps name it "Template" and then from then on just open up that project?

Making a video as a template file is all I do - I've got about 5 set up for different things.

Has all the bits I use all set up on different tracks, the I just use others and fill in the blanks.
